She is demanding, challenge students to use their critical thinking skills. I highly suggest students interested in research to take her. However, this is just not my area and could care less. Her teaching style does not appeal to me. Unfortunately, she will call on you. So if your like me, your gonna have suck it up, read, and sit through it.

This class is hard if you take it with her. You have to memorize everything from your notes. I made a B and know friends who took same class with a different professer and made A's.

This class was a total waste of time. The best part was the field experience, and that’s probably because the professor had nothing to do with it. If you take her make sure you take good note buy a cup of coffee before you go to class and do your best to motivate yourself to study. This was the only class I didn’t make an A in last semester. Do

Oh my god that was too hilarious 3 comments down. All the foregoing! :) Well gosh so yes, she gives ridiculous exams with that "foregoing" word which throws people off. She is rude and easily annoyed. I sometimes felt she hated being in the class. The entire 3 hours were spent answering questions that didnt always make sense. It's almost as though

I really love the way she teaches. She tries to get the class involved and the test questions come right from the notes that you take in class. It is a lot of writing, but not an impossible amount. Take her if you can! (But not in a video-class if you can help it)

If you want an easy grade then I don't recommend her but she is really good at challenging you to think outside the box. Would take her again but not if I'm struggling for a good grade for my gpa. She doesn't play favorites nor does she treat you like a child. Take a LOT of notes and don't miss class!!

She is knowledgable in her topic. Expects you to be an adult and put your best effort forward. Fair. Does not play favorites. Gives you a second chance, but will recognize when you are just a whiner or lazy. Don't piss her off. She will give you the benefit of the doubt. Best professor I ever had. I love her!

She is one of the best professors I have ever had (I have three degrees). She truly cares about her subject matter and WILL challenge the student to think critically. You'll come out of her class better off; both as a student and a person.

She is a good teacher. If you come to class, take notes, and then study them for the test you will do fine. For each chapter there is a list of questions to answer which is where the test questions come from. Lecture consists of answering those questions. If you miss a class, you can find the answers on your own in the book. I'd take her again

This is the best professor at UTSA. If you can not get an A in her class you might as well drop out of college because you aren't going to get through all those overbearing condesending professor that lie ahead of you here at UTSA. All you have to do is go to class, take the notes, and oh yes go home and study them. Test exactly the same as notes

Dr. Briscoe is a great professor. She's very nice. The notes are definitely hard to keep up with unless you invest in a laptop because there is so much writing involved. Tests are not very hard. She gives you the questions on the syllabus, you answer them in class, and you're tested over them. It's not that hard, just memorization.

Beware! Lots and lots of note taking. I recommend investing in a lap top if you don't have one. Tests can be kind of tricky but if you study the notes you should be fine. Don't necessarily have to read to make good grades on the tests.
