The worst master in college. During the class, she only talks about her pets. This professor is very racist. The classroom assignments have nothing to do with the classroom, he calls the students crazy.

Honestly, she is nice but she talks too much about the things she like and go off the topic. Her class is quite relaxing but I dont think she was helping me. She has a messy teaching style, and I was confused about lot of things. Her class is not academically hard but it was hard to understand what shes teaching. You have to teach yourself.

She is a great knowledgeable and compassion Professor who is really trying to teach her students. She has a kind appreciable heart with lots of love for humanity and even animals ! :)) I don't know how could she be so calm and patient to deal with all stubborn texting students. My hat is Off.

She is a tough grader. I always get a C on every paper. Tests are tough and have a lot of new vocabularies. You have to look through the dictionary in order to understand the test. If you don't have a solid grammar, definitely avoid this class. Otherwise she will try to fail you.

She is rude and not helpful. She blames students for her mistake. She gives bad grades for students that she doesn't like. She cannot even make a proper sentence nor teach you grammar. If you want to prepare for English 100 and also get a good grade. This class is not for you. Consider yourself warned. It's difficult to get a solid B in this class.

I took 2 courses : ESL60 and ESL99. Ms Colvin gives students useful feedback and helps them improve their writing skill. Most homework in class requires summery and give opinion for an article and don't be afraid if you got check minus on the homework. You only need to get 3- (in midterm and final) in scale of 5 to get A her class. Easy A.

At the beginning, I thought I would pass! she was kinda tough and I didn't do homework, but then when I showed her that I care about the class by doing homework and trying my best to participate(I hate participating in any class BTW) and ask questions after class, it worked and guess what? I got an A! she's always there for you trying to help you!

Yeah, she's really strict when it comes to grading but that's because she wants all of us to work hard and improve our English. Only those people who do not put in effort give bad reviews about her. If you passed her class, then you've earned the grade. I've learned a lot from her!!!! She will definitely prepare you for ENG100.

Mrs Colvin is a good and helpful teacher, and she teaches you how to write. But, strict on essay and you have to have a good background in grammar.It's not very hard, but you have to put some effort.
