I liked Stevis as a person, but I really didn't enjoy this class. The syllabus changed multiple times during the semester, and the assignments didn't have very clear directions.

He gave interesting lectures and I liked him as a person, he seemed nice and interesting, but the class lacked any clear objective or direction, the different units and ideas felt very disconnected at times. Also, it was very unclear what he/the TA grading the exams were looking for from the exam answers.

This guy has no clear objective. What you learn in class is based entirely on whatever he finds interesting at that moment in time. Theres a total disconnect between what you learn and whats on the test.

I LOVED this class and Prof. Stevis! Be prepared to read papers and talk about them in class. There is one big paper but its written over time and he will read it over and give suggestions. I learned a lot and it has helped me in other classes where we referenced the readings. Don't take this class if you don't like reading or debate.

Loved this class and Prof. Dimitris! I learned a lot and got to have really in depth debates with the whole class which makes learning fun and easy. No tests but you'll write papers, but if you do the readings you'll do fine! Make sure to show up for class discussion days, he takes attendance.

Stevis is amazing, but you actually are expected to work in the class (surprise, surprise). I absolutely love this professor.

I took both International Law and Political Economy from Stevis. I thought he was great and I learned a lot from both classes. They were both difficult, but incredibly interesting and I felt like I was challenged and grew a lot. I would HIGHLY recommend taking Stevis.

WOW! I didn't expect the other comments I found for Dimitris! I LOVED his class! It was very informative and discussions were great. HE does go around the room for a comment from each student, but regergitation is not what is expected, it is honest, individual analysis. My feeling is that those who posted the negative comments were not ready for a class of this level or a prof of this caliber.

what a nightmare indeed, expects way to much out of students, failed his class because of absences eventhough I had a family situation, DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!

The class as a whole lack direction or objectives. Most of the class consisted of listening to an idiot who did not do the reading or sitting around woundering what vague abstract notion was on teacher's mind. The class lacked any real thought.

The class was a nightmare. No control or direction. He would go around the table and ask each student to regurgitate something new about the same reading like some sort of Russian roulette. Learned nothing except how to fake taking notes.

He expects a lot out of you, but he is also one of the best professors I have ever had because he is also very willing to work with you.

VERY Unhelpful and VERY Unclear. Before taking any course in the PoliSci Dept. You should 1)review the syllabus 2) view the articles and cartoons taped on the professors door and 3) view an assignment graded by the professor. You've been warned.

Comment:
Do not take a single "environmental" course from this department. What is deemed environmental is really Deep Ecology and Environmental Marxism. Scientific thinking is not welcomed in a Stevis class...which is typical for the entire department
