I came in with prior knowledge of honors chemistry receiving an A, I came out with a C-.... I took this class the first semester using this particular textbook; apparently there was a cheating epidemic and everyone (including those who were not involved) was effected. Very fast on slides, skips around too much, assumes everyone knows chemistry.

This class was extremely difficult although with a LOT of studying, I pulled an A. You are going to have to read the book and essentially teach yourself the material. Tests mirror the homework and practice homework so those are key to studying before the test. Tests and homework and generally much harder than examples he works in class.

aweful. filled class time with lecture and notes on concept while test was purely problems.hardly explains problems well and always messes up. tests are extremely hard which require endless amount of studying.definetly not a class u want to take just to fullfill nat. science req. take geol1330 with Lytwyn. Much easier. Elthon sucks

Everything straight from the book, all problems were from examples from book. Tests were pretty hard as well. Make sure you read before class then you will better understand. Sucks at calucations, won't explain the math part of problems.

Obviously hates teaching this class. He's really bad at math for a chemist. Makes more mistakes on calculations than any teacher I've had. Wastes alot of time in lecture, no point in going. Disorganized. Tests are acceptable, but difficult.
