Only recommend this class if you are fast at taking notes from hearing it out loud. Definitely relatively easy. Do not miss the lectures because everyone has their own way of getting the notes (you WILL receive many emails asking for notes btw). OVerall, 3 tests, 50mc. content is quite repetitive throughout the course.

Took this course as an elective and it was super easy! He does not post slides also his notes are skeletal slides, so you have to be there to fill in the missing info. The course is lecture heavy so I would record the lectures cuz its hard to catch everything he says in class. Downside is its a 3 hour class! Super nice guy! Textbook is a must!

This course is really interesting. Dr. Brownridge does not provide many notes on his slides, you must take them down verbatim. Overall it was a pretty decent course.

Good professor, adds a bit of humour to his lectures. At times class can be a bit dull since its an almost 3 hour lecture. Get ready to write a lot of notes. His class is structured well. Study his notes & additional information in the textbook and you should do well. Had 3 tests, all were mult. choice.

Professor Brownridge deserves the accolades he receives. The course is structured in a coherent manner, the questions on the tests are straight forward, however it is imperative to study both the notes and the textbook. There are a lot of statistics but I found that if you remember general ranges, you'll be set. Show up, read, you've got your A+.

He is good-looking but don't get distracted during lecture because his tests are mostly based on lecture notes. He doesn't post his slides and he blurts out important stats and info during lectures. He points out the important things though, he also assign specific book pages for readings which isn't so bad! He's very knowledgeable overall!

He really wants you to do well, and will answer any of your questions. Don't be scared about the 70% exam, if you study and pay attention in class you will do well! I wish he taught more classes, because overall I just adore him as a professor.

He is very scrumptious!!!! had my first professor crush, ladies, you'll want to sit front row for better eye contact :)... but yeah class wise..... his tests are easy if you read the textbook and go to class, you're looking at a A for sure, his voice makes you want to pay attention and stare at him! def a GPA booster ;)

I took family violence with Dr. Brownridge and would definitely recommend this course to anyone. He is very clear in his lectures and is good at facilitating note-taking. He encourages class discussions. The readings aren't bad (for ex. he'll assign specific pages out of a chapter in the text). Go to class & read the text, you'll get an A.

Never knew family violence could be made so boring, seems like a juicy subject for a seat-gripping course. Taking his class is like listening to the winning lotto numbers for an hour and a half. His tests aren't bad, but he doesn't post slides online so make friends with someone in case you miss a day. He's cocky but whatever, it's just one class.

I totally gained a lot from his class and enjoyed it, but not even one person got an A+. I honestly don't like his test styles. If you don't like mc questions do not take this course. He doesn't curve class grades and he is not willing to give you options to boost up your grade like other instructors. Overall, the class was very educating.

Cool guy, but his exams are annoying as hell. Mostly consisting of questions of stupid statistics that need specific percentage results in trends. Very frustrating, and he seems like he is really into himself with the amount of photos he has of his colleagues and himself to show on his slides.

He is the best prof I've had. Every time I went to him to ask a question he was so easy to talk to and helped so much. He's the only prof I've felt comfortable going to for help, he made me feel at ease. I love that he always says "bless you" when someone sneezes, always brought humour into the class as well. Attend class and take notes success.

Fantastic professor. He clearly knows his topics. He's a tough tester but if you study hard you'll do fine. He also is pretty funny and uses a lot of in class discussion when time calls for it.

Interesting course. Lots of note taking, need to go to class. Prof is clear and easy to understand, tests are based off of both the textbook and notes given in class, but are reasonable and not full of surprises. Tests based on the material emphasized. 3 (33%)multiple choice tests. You can get an A if you read the textbook and memorize notes.

great professor and interesting class. 70% of test are lecture notes only given by going to his class and 30% is from textbook. if you go to class and read over the textbook then you should be able to get A/A+

I really enjoyed this professor. He spoke clearly and gives good notes. It is very important to go to class as he tests you on material only taught in class. However he is interesting and it is enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him.

Excellent class and a wonderful prof. He is funny, younger, talented, extremely smart with a coherent mandate. I would recommend taking a course with Dr. Brownridge any day. He shares a bit about himself without going off topic and he is really passionate about the topic. HIGHLY recommended!

Gifted prof, I would definitely take other classes with him if they were offered. He made the hour and 15 mins pass very quickly because his material and presentation were usually quite interesting. VERY note heavy class though, minimal power points used and he doesn't put them online either. Read your chapters and take notes and you'll do well!
