Dr Sobek is the hardest prof in the MIE department here and expects a lot out of his students. Should be a 5 credit class, only 3. Expects full novel size paragraphs on exams to receive any credit (no units0 points). Expects us to think like he does without helping. Everything is expected to be intuitive and if it isn't he'll make you feel dumb.

Incredibly difficult to get full credit on anything. Ridiculously hard grader, and expects students to just intuitively know things when it's impossible. Fairly condescending and presumptuous. 2 weeks left in the semester and the 70% of the class thinks they're failing.

Dr. Sobek knows what he is talking about. However, he often wants you to think for yourself but follow the same thought process he did. He is fair, but his class was tough. Make sure you are willing to put in the effort, especially for tests, if you want to succeed.
