Most of the questions on her exams are things she talks about specifically in class that may not be in the book. So I suggest writing down everything she says and recording her if you want to do well in this class. She also gives out 2 extra credit points if you go to the SEC for each exam. As well as a 5 point extra credit question on the exam.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING AT ALL! Everything I learned from this class I taught myself by reading the book. She picks only a couple topics from the chapters to go over and not the rest, she explains what she chooses vaguely. I very often heard"this is all memorization guys"&"the rest of these are in the book" I wish good luck to those in her class

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Especially if youre going to take mcats or dats, dont waste time on her! She skips very important topics, and has 100 questions in her every exam!

She wasn't bad . She reviews over the book. SO I suggest to read the chapter or start to read before class. Mini quizzes after each sections. Make sure you study and make time for lecture and lab. Your test grades are most of the lecture grade so do well on them.

Prof. Gardners lecture materials are very difficult. Shed explain something very undetailed, and ask for very specific chemical in that topic she barely spoke of. A good teacher makes a difference in students life, and she isnt one of those game changers. Shes not willing to help. Dont take this class if you have other hard classes to take!!!

Prof. Gardner may be extremely intelligent, but lacks the ability to properly teach a class. She jumps from topic to topic, never really explaining the information (for how she expects you to understand it). Her quizes (though not worth alot) force you to study a ton of material for 0 purpose. Extremely boring lecture, and book is a must to pass.

Professor Gardner talks super quietly so I recommend sitting up front. She usually jumps from one topic to another and will remember something and then hop back to that first topic, so notes were really all over the place. She gave a lot of pop quizzes but also mentioned sometimes when she would give one. Overall she really wasn't the BEST for me

She's not terrible, but certainly is not my first choice. She easily teaches all the simple material at the beginning of the course. However, I guess since this is her first time teaching A&P in a while, it sort of seemed like she wasn't ever really sure about the material towards the end of the course. She went too fast on certain concepts, too.

Comment:
I had Professor Gardner for A&P I. Her exams are pretty much all from the notes. As long as you take good notes and study them VERY WELL, youll be fine. Her exams are very factual. She does speak quietly, so dont try and sit in the very back of the class. She writes down the important stuff on the board, so it isnt too rushed most of the time.

Professor Gardner's exams are lecture heavy, but after lectures I'd have to teach myself everything she talked about from the book and attend tutoring. Her lectures are disorganized, she'll explain one subject briefly and jump to three more before she's through the first. Doesn't give out much extra credit at all, prepare to study a lot.

Dr Gardner is a professor who lost her thrill to teach. She paraphrases the text in her lectures, due to this I felt very alone in actually understanding the material so much so that I hired a tutor who cost over 700 dollars to have better understanding of the material. She gives no details. this cause ppl to have phones out during her test. smh

Professor Gardner is adorable and really knows her stuff! She is the reason I loved Cell Biology. Her lectures are great, she's very educated and definitely makes the subject enjoyable. Her exams are pretty tough but you should be okay if you pay attention in class and spend time outside the class reading the chapters she assigns.

My learning experience in her class is a horrendous one .She's Ivy League educated but she has no teaching ability. I study very in-depth for this class but with no direction and endless rambling lectures it is impossible to pass Without spending $$$ on a outside tutors with test banks. This important class is a joke because she can't teach!

The material itself is not difficult. Slide shows are pics from book so keep up with writing down what she says. Mid-lecture quizzes are terribly worded sometimes but not a big portion of final grade. She holds extra study sessions, go for extra pts if it fits in your schedule. She does review before the test in class so ask your questions then.

I love Dr. Gardener. She was really helpful when I took her and she also wanted us to pass. She holds weekly study sessions and is always there to answer questions. She is very knowledgeable and will go over something as long as the time permits otherwise she says to go to her office where she'll go over it. LOVE HER!!

she completely takes everything from the book. occasionally provides personal insight into the topic being studied. uses powerpoints all the time. tests you on major themes, with a few details here and there. u don't have to attend lecture, because she tests info straight from the book

WTF.

As someone in my school said: People fail Genetics due to the difficulty (See Patnaik), people fail Cell Bio due to how boring it is. She gives a whole lot of work and the class is extremely difficult. This class is a test if you can get through it. Good Luck, that is all I need to say. Also, most science teachers have monotonous voices,no complain
