He's not as bad as everyone is saying. Many people in class thought he was horrible but once you understand the concept you will follow what he is saying during the lectures If you take him I recommend watching the Gilbert Strang lectures on Youtube or his MIT website. Also go to class everyday, it may be boring but his notes helped me on the tests

AVOID this professor at all costs.He's an expert at turning easy concepts into incomprehensible ones,mainly because he doesn't know them himself.If you have no choice,then search Gilbert Strang on Youtube.Strang teaches Lin Al at MIT and his online lectures made me get an A in this class.You're done if you take him for any other math class.

Please stick this guy in a back room where he has no contact with students. Comes to class with a mountain of notes but still makes constant mistakes and gets irritated when the class points them out or asks questions. Wastes so much time that he had to spend the last week of class rushing through the material just before the test.

This guy is a complete moron. How is he a university professor? I do not know. He's a jerk and makes you feel stupid for asking a question in class. He is a spaz and is unclear when "teaching". He messes up problems and spends 30 minutes trying to figure out where he messed up when the entire class is trying to show him where he messed up. Idiot...

Dead is sort of a weird guy. I went to his office to ask for help and he talked to me like I was an idiot. Then I went to him about a mistake on my test grade and he gave me full credit. If you can read the book and learn yourself then you'll do well. If you need to be taught to understand the material then Dean is not the way to go.

Intelligent man, horrible teacher. He stands in front of the board and writes really fast talking with his back to the class and never tells you where he's getting numbers from, just starts babbling, very jittery and don't try to ask a question. He gets offensive. Have to teach yourself with book. Test are easy and short if you know material

Not terribly clear, he is very jittery and almost doesn't even notice the class. He teaches well, covers theory and gives plenty of examples, but is very difficult to talk to and doesn't respond well to questions. He gets the material across for the most part though.

Terrible. My least favorite math class and it's all his fault. From what I could tell he sometimes TRIED to answer student questions but did so in such a terrible fashion he only left us with more questions (such as "What did he just say? Did anyone get that?") I wouldn't recommend this professor. Won't take him again.

Not clear at all. I would say that he confuses himself as well as the students. I would avoid this guy at all costs! Says exams are one way then changes on the day of the exam. Not enough bad ways to explain this guy at all!!!!!
