This class is difficult if you don't study. I made an "A". I studied! My friend and I took this class a while back. He made a 96 in the class and I made a 95. We were both exempt from the final. You'd think that since Dr. Decell ,who by the way is my dad, may have just given me the grade. Not the case.I earned it. Study hard!Ask questions. Peace.

I took Decell online this summer. I am not strong w my math skills and ended up having to drop. He is not very helpful at all. If you aren't good at math & teaching yourself work, do not take him. I emailed him with questions & he asked me to post in the discussion board so others could help/see. He doesn't work examples if you need clarification.

he posts everything online at once and lets you learn it at ur own pace......material is very difficult and it is a very challenging class and he is really bad at helping you.....if you want the challenge for some odd reason take him

If you have to take stats, I suggest that you just go ahead and take it with Hafeez on campus, if you can. Online, it's okay, but it's much easier to understand the concepts when in a class with others with you in person. The online classes' quizzes and tests are a bit different from the non-online ones and are slightly tougher.

I have some words of wisdom for you when you take him online. First,print the quizzes first and then work through the questions writing all the formulas and the layout. After you have worked the entire quiz then take the quiz. He does not hand out answers but if you meet with him he will look out for u. I earned a D but he gave me a B, hang in!

This is actually the perfect distance education class. If you have zero desire to go to campus and interact with the instructor, sign up for this. It is tough but those with math skills will find it okay, and the TA is pretty helpful. The professor can be harsh, but after reading the online forums all semester it's sometimes hard to blame him.

Horrible professor!Does not like to help students.Will not teach you a thing to save his life.Will answer questions in a vague and rude way. Will happily accept your tuition money. Students will learn nada from this class - you will be too busy struggling through this class. If you like to teach yourself, this class is for you. DO NOT ENROLL !!!!!!

Worst professor I've ever had, completely uninterested in helping students. I am good at math, but struggled through this course. I was afraid of asking for help because he had rarely answered anybody else's questions in a helpful way. He was insulting in his replies to students. I would have dropped the class if it weren't required for my degree.

Prof. Decell is not at all a bad professor, I made a B in his online class, with a bit of hard work its not at all that difficult I had 3 other classes and passed the online course, do well on your quizzes and average on exams and you will very much pass!

You will need to get to CASA and get a tutor daily. Quizzes are okay, but overall you still get no clarity. Lectures are useless because it is like he is just reading what is in the book not giving examples. I think it would be easier if you didn't have to teach yourself.

Is not helpful at all. Just a rude, mean spirited person. I don't know why he's teaching. He'd rather write rude, snide comments back to you than help, which takes the same amount of time. What's the point? Do not take this prof.

Never ever seen a teacher who does not want to teach. You have to do EVERYTHING yourself including teaching. Lectures make no sense homework and material do not add. If you ask him for help he will say your lying about not understanding or answer it with a question (VERY HELPFUL) Im a senior and will have to postpone because of this class

i took his online class, which is hard as all getout, but if you do the quizes you should be ok... i have to take them at the min 5 times before i get an A but it evens out because i usally fail the test. I have to stay at casa to learn this stuff. His online lecture are useless and not really helpful.. I dont recommend this online class

I made an A in AP Statistics my senior year of high school. I made a B in Biostatistics at my last university. I got dropped from math 2311 online because I didnt meet the average quiz grade. I never met the teacher and I don't recommend taking this class online. I will be be taking it again in a reacl class in the followin semester.

(which is ok), the book is choppy and doesn't easily explain the material, the quizzes don't look like anything from the book or from the notes, and the exams are nothing like the homework, notes, or quizzes (i think he was pulling these questions out of

This professor runs his class like a military boot camp or something. Believe it or not, when you take your exams, all of the seats in your row have to be filled before he hands the exams out to the people in your row. He is seriously crazy! If you take his class don't even bother trying to ask for help, b/c he won't help. Good luck!
