Comment:
Honestly the hardest 4 tests of my life. No one would pass if half the class wasn't cheating with phones out during the test. Doesn't teach at all. Going to class is worthless and much like the other physics professors you will learn nothing. It is absolutely a self-taught class with a poor and cocky professor. Needs to retire!!

Honestly, he has given me the most stress I have ever had in college. The only way anyone would do well is if they used chegg or google during the test. Ridiculously hard. The homework and tests have no correlation. I studied rigorously for each test and was unable to pass any tests. Stay away if you can. I expect the final to be just as hard.

Very helpful professor,is always ready to meet you for questions. Sometimes has difficulty understanding questions so make sure you are specific when asking. Curves well also. Definitely one of the better professors for upper level physics.

He is always there when you need help. But he never gives out any exam reviews except for the final. The exams are hard to understand and not clear. The class average is always low, and the homeworks doesn't do anything to help in the exams. The textbook is really helpful tho. Need to study really hard to get thru the class.

Physics will be hard no matter who you take. Hungerford tries his best to give you an understanding of the material but, of course, most people are fools and fail anyways. Around 50 is passing for his exam. Class avg is usually around 40. Take him if you can handle doing your hw regularly or if you already have an understanding of physics.

His voice goes all whiny and panicky if you ask a question. He doesn't build concepts, but rather expects give a complex example and expects you to decipher it. I left class every day more confused that when I went in. His tests are ridiculous. The class average was about 25% on test 1. Avoid him!

what it do, crappiest teacher ever, 54/71 students failed his first test and about another 10 barely got C-'s on it. I did enjoy seeing him run through pouring rain, too bad it didn't soak the test to death.

He insulted and laughed at me in front of the class. He allowed cheating students to prosper and pass his class when good and dedicated students were failed. He covered far more material than appropriate for a course of this nature. I nearly stopped attending his class because of the toxic psychological and emotional atmosphere. Avoid him!
