Comment:

Ed is a very good person. He knows a lot about piano and music history. He likes to share with you a lot of different staffs and he will be interested on your experience too. He is not tough at all. It sometimes maybe bad if you are a loose person. I wont recommend he for you if you are a piano performance major.

I took piano lessons with Dr. Turley my first semester on campus and he significantly brightened my day every time I saw him. He is the happiest, most genuine, funny, and nice guy around. You will always leave with a smile. One day I was really upset about choosing a major, and cried during my lesson but he was so sweet and encouraging! Wonderful.

Ed's class is one in a million. If you are interested in music, I recommend taking a class from him. A pianist at heart, Ed will crack a joke at least 4 times during the class and will play the piano when he gets the chance. GREAT PROF! I recommend him!

He's a sweet old man, if not terribly clear or helpful. His intro class was easy, even for the musically clueless, but stagnant and repetitive. Not really bad, just not interesting either - and I like music history.
