Comment:

Prof K is nice but she is unclear at times. She speaks low so it's hard to understand her. I can't say I would recommend her. There is a mandatory museum visit, several small art projects, midterm, presentation (only in front of her), and $40-$60 worth of art supplies you may need to buy (I recommend buy them only when you're sure you'll use them).

if you are taking an art class because it is in your gen eds and its mandatory, DO NOT take her she thinks that this class is one of the most important classes. her midterm is memorization of 25 paints and everything about them and she requires a trip to the MOMA. worst professor if you do not like art and are in an art class because you have to be

Expect half the class will drop out after the first day of all of her classes. She is very sweet but extremely dull. She does teach any lessons and requires you to read online to learn anything- which is a huge disappointment for serious students like myself.

She has the DULLEST personality. Such a boring person in general. She is nice, but the montone in her voice makes you want to leave the room. If the a/c is on in the room, you wont hear her. She only likes people who are really good artists. So dont bother if you werent a born artist.

I found Professor Kahana to be very knowledgable in the subject matter. There are two textbooks, she only requires one. An online site is used to study midterm slides. Some art materials are required for studio work, but the cost is minimal, whoever payed $150 must be crazy !! She is very nice, I enjoyed the course.

SHE IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST TEACHER. If you have no interest in art DO NOT take her. She makes you buy the textbook that you never use, spend over $100 on supplies, and a mandatory trip into the city. I was required to take the class and regret taking it with her. She thinks everyone is an art major and doesn't give ANY A's. WORST TEACHER EVER.

This teacher is one fo the most boring teachers at suffolk, she teaches with such a monotone voice and you can barely hear her. I feel like I'm in preschool with this teacher. If you wanan stay awake thrughout your class I advise you to take another teacher.

Prof. Kahana is an easy grader but strange. There was one test (midterm). If you aren’t interested in art, you still will not be. Be prepared for a museum visit and make sure you have money to burn. I spent about $200 above tuition, and I did not buy the textbook. It wasn't fun but it could have been worse.

She is a nice person, but if you're not really into art it's not for you. The supplis are expensive, and you don't use them very often.I would recommend buying cheap stuff.If you have time on your hands shes the Prof. for you.Expect to go to a museum, alot of projects,and a hard tests.I got an A

I enjoyed taking this class. Even though I am not an art major I had alot of fun. I did get alot out of her class. She is a bit strange and can be unclear on what is expected. Other then that she is really nice and is very fair.

I thought she gave difficult assignments and they also took forever. if you have her do not think this class is not a lot of work because you will be quite surprised. But if you have problems and you miss some classes she will allow you to make them up.
