She works very hard to be clear and help. First test we had we did bad and she lets us do extra credit. She did a lot of extra help and even stayed after with me and some classmates for four hours reviewing for the final. Amazing professor. I hands down respect her

She is the sweetest lady BUTTTT does all her lectures from reading the textbook and doesn't really do well with explaining the topics, doesn't show much examples.

She is an amazing person outside of teaching. And she is just as amazing teaching. Her lectures are very textbook heavy but she tries her best to review things from previous years that we might have forgotten. In my opinion is is best one to one at her office hours. If you do not understand something ask her she will not bite she cares

Comment:

Shes a great teacher who really wants to make sure everyone understands what shes teaching. She goes slow and shows every step of the problem no matter how easy and will explain anything if you ask. She does have an accent but after the first week or 2 you dont notice anymore. She may seem all over at first but its because shes connecting ideas.

Shes very sweet. She takes out of her weekends to do extra help. During lecture she just reads from a textbook which was hard to learn. She doesnt really review before a test.

The online homework tends to be a lot, but it really does help on the tests. Be sure to ask her questions about the homework because she tends to use the same (or very similar) questions. She will not hesitate to help you if you need it, and be usre to be careful on your tests- she will take points off for small mistakes.

Professor Chu is extremely patient and takes her time to teach material if she sees students struggling. Do all the online homework. Sometimes it may seem like a lot, but it definitely helps during the tests. She is very caring, but make sure you stay up to date with all the material.

She's really nice which makes me feel bad for the review I'm giving, she gives at LEAST 24 questions of homework a night online that gets graded and if you skip one night, it's really hard to catch back up, she's also a tough grader on quizzes and tests, I feel like she thinks this is your only class

Enjoyed her class when I took her, it was tough but she always welcomed you in her office and is always willing to help. Wish I had done better in her class, that's on me. Make sure to do the online homework she assigns and don't doze off. Very nice woman and would recommend to have her

Class is hard but she makes it easy to understand. Make sure u do online HW! She'll let u submit late but at a cost. Watch those videos or look at solutions if you get stuck. You'll learn the strategies u need to pass exams. Exams are long but she offers to come in early so students have more time to finish. Ask her questions! She's very patient.

Prof Chu is great. The class is hard, but she makes time to help you. She even comes in on Saturdays for extra help. Usually makes tests easier than the homework. Willing to work with students for test dates. If you go go extra help she does the online hw with you. Has accent but speaks English perfect. A very sweet lady who wants all to do well.

Love, love love this professor. She is so sweet and helpful. She clearly explains everything and is willing to go over it until you understand it. Makes time outside of class for extra help. Absolutely impossible to fail in you do the work.

She truly is a gem to have at Suffolk. If you fail her class, it is 10000000% your fault. I wish I had her for every math class :) Do the homework well BEFORE exams and you will get an A no problem even in a difficult class like calc 2.

Dunno what everyone else is saying. Her accent in terms of muttering speech is non-existent, she speaks perfectly clear. I personally enjoyed her as a teacher and she is generous to a class having difficulties.
