Comment:

My favorite thing about Mrs. Drake is that she was constantly in communication with her students. Whether that was by announcing in Canvas about important information or just with her emails, she did a really great job. Normally I'd have to wait only 1-2 hours MAX to get a reply to my email. That's rare. My class was online, so that helped a lot!

Comment:

Some of the hw barely had any guidance from the textbook, leaving you to scour the web for answers. Then when people got good grades, she complained on the 'Announcements' page about it for FOUR different homework assignments. But on one hw, she gave a page and a half of 'help' to back it up and the average was still in the 50s. Great teaching /s

This professor gives a lot of assignments, many of which rely on the book. Her instructions for these assignments are incredibly vague at times. If you ask her for clarification, be prepared to for no response or a response criticizing you for not understanding. This class relies on being self-taught, and I'd recommend taking someone else.

Easy class but the books she uses are written by her and her assignment instructions are very poorly written. I would not recommend taking her if you can help it.

Online course was super easy. Easy A. You can submit all the worksheets and discussions in advance to save yourself time later. Quizzes are super easy. Only downfall is having to buy the expensive access code. But, you need the code for the assignments so it is essential. Final exam was cake.

This course was taught via textbook with little input from the instructor. issues I had; errors in lab or course instructions, adding things to assignment requirements mid-course or after assigment started and basically admitting she peer review the course material before presenting it live to students for grades, totally unsatisfactory.

Overall I enjoyed the course, but the class seemed to move a little slow at times. Most of the time, she used powerpoints and the board to convey information, but I have found that I prefer programming concepts to be demonstrated using programming on the projector.

Dropped the ball multiple times with deadlines -- did not grade timely, and failed to post necessary source code for projects and had to extend deadlines as a result. Comes across as arrogant in correspondence, both personal and global (announcements), even when she makes mistakes. Not consistent in grading. Nothing to supplement (poor) book.

Comment:

Drake is an amazing teacher teacher. This was my first semester in programming and she made me feel at ease. That;s not to say you don't have to work, but she is understanding and very reasonable. Take her for any course that you need, you won't regret it

Comment:

CSG1060 is an extremely easy class as long as you put in the effort. Online book, MyITLab for assignments and exams. Effort is required but if you do your part, you'll get 100% in most areas (0 if you don't). Exams are online and open book (lowest dropped) so there's no reason not to do well if you give at least minimum effort. Would recommend.

Statistics online is hard, a lot of people struggled. She did not post powerpoints or lectures. This class is basically you do the reading and find tutoring or else you fail. She does give a lot of extra credit and you only have to 'attempt' homework in order to get 100s. Try to take stats in person.

This teacher doesn't really explained programming logic well. If anything makes it more difficult. She makes mistakes while applying programming concepts and yet expecting her students to get her assignments right. Very disappointing.

Ms. Drake makes statistics as easy as possible. Her grading system is extremely forgiving, and she really wants you to succeed. I took statistics online and I am a math retard, and still pulled a high A. I highly recommend her for statistics!

Took this class online. Very easy just do the homework and study guides and you will pass!! Hard to fail unless you don't try. Very quick to email you back if have questions and concerns. Also gives you a week to take each test to fit everyone's work and school schedule!!! Great teacher!! I hated math and made it through her class!!

She doesn't obey syllabus. You're expected to learn only from a book without lectures from her. Expected to cover material that is not assigned to complete program successfully. She deducts points for features not listed in the specifications for the assignment, so she can basically give you whatever grade she wants.

Ms. Drake teaches Statistics online. Great class, though you lose the ability to ask questions directly for clarity. The entire class is done through Course Compass you get extra points for doing homework! Tests are right from homework and practice tests, so print them out after working the problem. If you cant get it,click on "View Example" print
