i can barely understand a word he says. I stopped going to lectures because hes very unigaging and hard to pay attention to. Overall sweetheart but just not the ideal prof.

All I have to say is I've pretty much stopped going to lectures. He's SO hard to pay attention to. And I don't understand why he gives out papers for you to write about, they have nothing to do with anything.

Comment:
Lectures unintelligible and completely unengaging, tested material has no connection to what he talks about in class and he puts things on you have no way of studying from the textbook or slides, and the papers he makes you read are obscure and not really educational. Avoid taking at all costs, sucks it's the only other option for non-molec majors.

Comment:
Brutally boring lectures, difficult to hear prof unless in the front row. Has awkward discussion period where he berates 1 random student in class with questions from a weekly assigned readings. Slides are forever changing and massive in size. Can simply read the textbook to pass the course, attending lectures is just confusing.

Super easy marker, and there was only 3 evaluations in the course. Another class that you don't have to attend to get an A. Just use the powerpoints and you'll do fine.

A surprisingly lenient marker. If you study no more or less than you would for any other class, you'll likely end up doing well. Dr. Baerlocher is very approachable, which is helpful because of how difficult he can be to follow in class. Even still, he's a pretty good prof. I don't have many problems with him aside from how quietly he speaks.

Love the fungus and love the class. I'm going to try to take an upper year one if he offers it. When I graduate I'm going to make an offer for his sandals.

I learned something amazing every day. Great class but his MTs are really hard - too long (15pgs!), never enough time. Assignment was fun, pretty easy workload except for those MTs. The final was very fair and pretty easy but still long. I've heard he's helpful but I just wish the MTs were easier.
