He is hands down the worst professor I'll ever have in my college career. He explains things like everybody already knows the material. On his exams, he puts random problems that were never mentioned in class. I personally studied for his class more that I did for my major classes and did not do well. If you have the option, never take him.

Hes a really nice guy, but I dont think he should be a professor. Hes supposedly head of the math department? He brings up things like a group projects and wont say when its due and randomly brings it up. He calls people out on questions and makes them feel bad when they dont know the answer. I dont recommend him

Dr. Hart was okay at first until he put questions on the exams that were not relevant to what we learned in class. He also did not give a syllabus until October. It did not matter because he didnt follow it at all. You will never know what your grade is. Only take him if you have to.

By far the worst professor I've ever had. If you're reading these and think you'll just take him and be fine, don't. I made that mistake. His classes are unstructured and make absolutely no sense. He goes off on rants about irrelevant math ideals and teaches very little substance. I took a W for this class and would never under any circumstances take him again. I have nothing positive to say about him except that although he's unorthodox, I can see that he cares about his students. Just not enough to improve his teaching style.

Last semester was my first semester taking Calculus and let me tell you DO NOT TAKE HIM! He will not help you outside of class when you're struggling. Very difficult to understand and expects everyone to know what he's talking about. He also loves to prove anyone wrong and will go off on tangents about STUPID POINTLESS stuff.

Dr. Hart can be all over the map. Sometimes you know exactly what he wants; other times you have no clue. He is a great guy outside of the class and will gladly talk to you about anything. And he knows a lot about math. I just think teaching isn't his biggest strength.

Gary was the worst math professor I ever had. He was not approachable at all. When you did not understand something he would make fun of you for it, or laugh at you. The tests are super hard, and he is the toughest grader, if you don't align your equal signs with one another he takes off points. Good guy out of the classroom, but a horrible teacher

I honestly didn't find him that bad. He doesn't use courseweb at all and he didnt even hand out a syllabus. If we didnt 'master' a section he would be very adamant that we prove we can do it. He really knows his stuff and if you ask him in class, he is really good at explaining examples. Made us take book notes and said he would collect but didnt.

The people saying he is terrible are moronic and lazy.. He expects you to learn, and do material outside of class. This is a COLLEGE class not a HS class. Best professor I've ever had. Learned so much and began to LOVE math. I used to dread math and now it's my favorite subject. LOVE DR HART.

He really wasn't as bad as some comments on this say he is. Sure he isn't a very good teacher but he goes through problems very carefully and if you pay attention and do problems there should be no problem in understanding the material. He also gave lots of chances to make up points. Even though he is annoying and childish, hes not terrible.

He is terrible. I studied two weeks for his second test and I got a 22. This class will kill you if you continue on with him. Make sure you drop him as soon as you find out he is your professor. He'll essentially not teach you anything, and expect you to do well on his tests.

Cares about his students, but not the best teacher. Online assignments made it easy to figure out if you got the right answer instantly, which I like. Kind of strange, but a helpful guy. There are definately worse professors on campus.

Honestly, this man, or boy I should say, is the most incomprehensible professor, or loser I should say, at this school. He truly has made me want to start a petition against him, and it is obvious that I am not the first one to feel this way. Rumor has it that he is head of the math department (WHAT IN GODS NAME!?!?) This is utterly unacceptable.

Wow is all I can really say. He does not know how to teach. Showing us that you can do ridiculous problems in your head does not help. Only uses power point for teaching so you get one example for each thing you learn. Also made us waste $30 for a online homework site that works about 10% of the time. Not to mention the homework is irrelevant.

Everyone's pretty much covered what I wanted to say. No structure in class, doesn't do examples in class, teaches in generalities and not specifics, very confusing to learn from. According to him, "a lack of questions from the class means we understand everything." That is his biggest teaching flaw.

Really bad teacher. His homework has nothing to do with what he teaches in class. He never completely answers your questions. He does examples the wrong ways and it really screws you up. I've really gotta make sure I never get him again..
