Unbelievably unhelpful. Very rough on grading paper, and said "help is limited" (!?). The prof was somewhat selfish, he cares only about his hobby and his stupid bugs, not his students. Clear at explaining concepts, but for what if you don't care about your students? Very disappointed with faculties like this at OU.

AWESOME professor! He makes the subject very interesting and is an expert in his field. Very approachable and willing to help. He shows Animal Behavior movies once a week and those are really good. Must go to class to get the notes, because he doesn't go off the book and doesn't post notes. Made the class fun.One of my favorite professors I've had!

T.A. Jeff Stephens (never saw Gamboa)- Nice guy, tries to be helpful though he strikes me as slightly overwhelmed. Class material was understandable, instruction was usually pretty clear...and he's got an eye-candy factor that makes attendance a little easier. You'd make a great professor someday Jeff.

Annoying:taught class like it was behavioral biology;every paper had to be written on very specific topics in HIS field. Takes any oportunity to squeeze his damn wasps into lecture. Not all of us are behavioral biologists, nor do we want to be. Visit his office freq. Write EXACTLY what he tells you to in his words,dont be original,and you'll excell

Professor Gamboa does not teach this class; I think I saw him maybe once. The TA does everything, so my ratings are just based on the class and TA. (Brad Kassuba.) The amount of material covered is extensive, so make sure that you study a lot, and always go to class. Be extremely detailed in your lab reports, and know the book cover to cover.

gamboa gives you good insight in this class about the material by incorporating his own experiences, which i found helpful. he is interesting and easy to listen to. he didnt make it very clear as to what he would test on. For our papers he was very critical and picky which i understand but i think he graded them more as english papers than science.

The TA I had was Jaimi Brozowski, you never see Gamboa! It's kind of unfair to grade him b/c the TA does all the grading and she's using her own Ruberick. VERY HARD! The reports need to be extremely specific, the quizzes she gives you on the text before class, and then she lectures afterwards over the material! Dumb system, but I think hers. HARD!

took the bio lab. ive never met Gamboa himself b/c he makes his TA's teach all of his classes. Funny when OU has commercials on the radio saying how all of their classes r taught by profs not TA's. hmm. my TA was Brad Kasuba who knows nothing about teaching. topics have nothing to do with e/o. quizzes u on things he hasnt taught u yet. RIDICULOUS!

The class was very intersting and it was fun to work in the field as opposed to lecture in the classroom. However, the course is extremely unorganized; the sylabus is one page with no grading scale. You don't know what the 3 professors for the course want of you or how you are doing.
