I took ENG 100 online, so I never got to meet this teacher in person. We emailed a few times about the course and she seemed super nice. You NEED to try to pass this class because it's a lot of typing and work. It was easy for me because I like this subject. It was easy if you try, and she was a good grader. Only got a lowish grade on 1 essay.

Literally the worst professor I've ever had. Gives guidelines for assignments, but then tells you you've done it wrong when you follow the rubric. Also, there are like 3 essays due each week and I'm pretty sure she thinks her class is the only thing we have going on in our lives.

Comment:

I took this class online. Lots of reading but easy to get a passing grade as long as submits assignments on time. Mainly had to write critiques on articles or short films/documentaries (critiques were short/simple) and overall had 2-3 essays plus a research paper which was your final. Teacher responds quickly to your emails. I would recommend her.

She replaced my teacher (who was out sick) at West Chester Univ this semester. Not sure really what to say about her. I think because it wasn't her normal environment, she was off. But super unorganized, and very unclear on how we were going to be graded. I would email her things, and she'd say she didn't get them. Not my favorite.

I've got no clue what the other reviews are talking about, this was probably my easiest class for the semester. If you do your work, you will get a 100%. Its so easy, she is a really easy grader, and is fairly clear with what she is looking for. She isn't very good with responding to emails, but other than that she is a fine professor.

I took her for creative writing, a fun class and something that I enjoyed. Both short stories the class absolutely loved and when I submitted my revisions I ended up with 2 bad grades. There wasn't a reason for those bad grades as they were good stories with better revisions. She is a jealous, unclear, lazy professor.

Terrible. Should not teach online classes. She is completely absent as an instructor. She does not respond to emails. Her grading is unclear, and unexplained. She loves to give C's, but doesn't like to tell you why. She even forgot to post class material one week. Don't take this class if you want to keep your GPA.

she is the worst teacher in the world, her class is so boring, and she barely prepares anything before class. she never response email or it will take like forever. it's hard to get an A in her class because she has unclear explanation on what she expects.

Very tough teacher. Expectations are unclear. I take her online american lit course. If you feel like passing, do not take this course. I really have no inkling about how I am doing in this class. Being that it is an online class, there is some confusion already. I strongly suggest taking another literature class for your requirement!

I hesitate to write this but I feel it is good to warn others. Gennari nearly broke my spirit with her lack of creativity when it came to understanding my style as a writer. She was often so rude to me in class that I thought about quitting. I have had writers block since I took her course and recommend avoiding her at all costs.

WOW! Grading system made NO SENSE! Learned NOTHING! Deducted major points for minor errors but did not teach how to correct them. seems like she is just re-posting the same assignments and not put any effort into updating her work or making her online class interesting. This teacher will make you appear incompetent.

She is an awesome professor. I had her for Creative Writing II and really enjoyed it. If working for your grade and being treated like an adult is not what you're looking for - don't take this class. Well worth it if you are willing to do the work. She truly cares and will work with you as much as you need her to.

Prof Gennari was amazing.She does require you to come to class,but she is willing to work with you if you make prior arrangements.Class is not hard,but be prepare to do a large amount of reading and writing, and some of the reading is boring. Assignments are straight forward,nothing too difficult Overall a great class and prof. I would take again.

The worst literature class I have EVER taken!! I don't even think she spent 5 min. preparing for the class. Lectures were empty and without any sense of expert knowledge. I hung in there-but it was tough! If you enjoy literature-stay away. If you just need this class-still stay away. Her grading process is very subjective and tough to nail down!
