History is a boring subject, but Dr. Hogue does her absolute best to make it enjoyable. You probably won't be excited to come to class, but at least it isn't very difficult. Lots of unique projects you have to do. Just read when she says to read and it's an easy A.

I had her and a TA teaching my history course. Both were very BORING, made it hard to attend class. History is already boring but they make it 10x more. Do not take Austin Chalpecka or her. You would want to claw your eyes out.

Took this as an online summer class and it was a lot of work. Not hard but be prepared to write...A LOT. If you don't read the book and listen to her pod casts the class will be difficult.

Very difficult as a summer on-line class. To many assisgnments in a short period of time. In her Pod cast she says dates are not important and then she has dates on her test. She seems very nice but she needs to realize you can't do the entire book in a month.

Dr. Hogue is a great teacher! She gives you every opportunity to make a good grade on your assignments. She wants you to do well. Her tests can be hard, but if you listen in class and study you'll do pretty good.

Dr. Hogue is the best Advisor at ASU!!! An Excellent Teacher! Most helpful! Really listens! She has all the qualities GREAT teachers dream of! Her test are very difficult. You will need to read what is assigned, take notes, and study 2-3 days in advance in order to pass her test, but you will learn. She is more than fair! She loves her job!

I personally hate history so I thought this class was very difficult and that she graded the papers really hard. She told me my paper was no good, but I didn't think it was very good either, it's just hard to write well about something you hate I guess.

Her Honors US History class is quite easy. There are a lot of papers, but she does not grade them very hard. Her tests have essays, but again she does not grade hard. Overall, the class is easy, probably too easy to be an Honors course.
