It was an interesting topic and it seems like he knew what he was talking about. You gotta pay attention to whatever he says and to the videos he's showing because his slides are completely useless. You will get destroyed with his written questions on the exams no matter how hard you studied; he looks for very specific keywords and phrases.

He is the worst professor I have ever seen. He feels bad when he is in class. There is no standard in the exam. No matter how reasonable your answer is, he will not give you a high grade. Never choose his class unless you want to get a low score.

He is the worst professor I ever had. The lectures are too vague and often when someone tries to ask questions, he answers you by a question. Assignments are more ambiguous than the lectures. He expects you to guess what is important, the way that he thinks it is important. He is rude, and it's difficult to reason with him. I believe he may suffer

Concordia needs to stop this man from lecturing, he is a disease to the academic system. This is not a drill, NEVER TAKE A COURSE WITH HIM because chances of passing with a good grade are very slim. A word is enough for the wise!!!

Very arbitrary grading. It is very hard to guess a standard. His writing on blackboard is a pain for those not sitting on the first row. Not the best choice for this class.

Arbitrary grading. Gives you 0 if you don't have the exact definition of a term even if you have a reasonable explanation. Gives you 3/5 for near perfect answers. Not clear about concepts until he explains them after the test. WEBSITE IS A DISORGANIZED MESS but he claims to be organized. He uses black magic to scale marks. A 40/50 could become 60%.

He's average. No interaction between students and him during the class. Exams are really long and hard but he curves a lot so it's totally possible to succeed. Just learn the right keywords and you'll be fine. Also his notes are quite small so it's really possible to learn and understand all of it.

You never know how he marks, exams are really hard and if you don't use his keywords you received low marks, I would suggest to participate a lot in class and double check what he wants, you can pass but it gonna be hard.

If you listen carefully in the class, your good to go! Many assignments, no project, hard exams, but finally it won't be that much bad! If you understand what he wants exactly, you can handle it easily.

Gave up on teaching some time in the early 90s. Website hasn't been overhauled in 20 years. Arbitrary grading schemes: when asked what he's looking for in an answer, he says stuff like "it varies, it depends, can't really tell you exactly". Useless slidesnotes. He finds 30-35% class averages normal. Always late. Takes forever to post grades.

You would certainly have to read a lot for this course. Depends heavily on the textbook. However, if you follow the textbooks and specified syllabus, your grades should be fine. Would make you work hard for assignments, but you get to learn more. Could be confusing in classes, but that gives you incentive to read more.

Seriously never take this course with him. He never answers your questions completely. His quiz's are a nightmare, you can never guess what the right answer was since he has some fancy things going in his head. His marking system is awful. He seems to be knowledgeable. Final word do NOT take this course with him, he will ruin your GPA.

Seems to have a wealth of knowledge, but material is too general, too high level. Not enough specifics, but then expects specifics on quizzes. Learned more about design patterns in half a C++ lecture than in his two lectures. Easy class, you'll pass but he curves like crazy. Nice guy, answers questions well, the material just needs tweaking.

This guy seems to be busy all the time, but can be approachable by email, replies not quickly, you have to wait for some time, maybe one day, or two, sometimes three. He's knowledgeable but not good at expressing himself. Generally, on the average.

Avoid this professor like the plague. His exams are difficult is the sense of hard, ... they are simply so badly formulated it is impossible to "guess" what he wants to hear. Yes, this is the type of professor you will have to make a difference between what he wants as a answer and what IS a correct answer. Besides he is extremely rude.

Horrible teacher. Never showed up for class. Read the book on my own (the book is great thankfully - too bad Larman isn't the teacher). Did well in the class, but with no thanks to him.
