If you know how to play the piano, this class is an easy A. Gretchen is very flexible with the date you turn in assignments. She understands that many people take online classes because they have to work. If you don't know how to play the piano, this class might be a bit difficult for you.

I took Gretchen's online class. She was very nice but she had a lot of the assignments that were monotonous. I probably would have liked this class much more had it not required you do two performances with a partner and attend a classical performance. I would not suggest this class to anyone who is new to music.

Ratings below make you want to take teacher. She is horrible. When you ask for help she tells you to go to many different websites that don't help. Phone quiz instructions are not true. She expects you to know everything about piano. WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE! She makes you feel like an idiot over the phone. Take someone else!

I took her Summer semester. No knowledge of music required as long as you can play in the finals of beg. piano. don't worry its private meeting w/ her on finals. She's friendly, you'll learn a lot. And you will get "A". She's the best! Highly recommended.
