I took her for Teaching Diverse Populations and it was horrible. She made assumptions about what we as a class believed, even though it was untrue, and indirectly disrespected religion, Christianity especially. I have heard that her reading and social studies classes are better. Would not recommend taking this class with her.

you either love her or hate her. i loved her. then again, i agreed with many of her viewpoints...i think that helped. pretty easy. curves the midterm and final. and she's jamaican...cmon people, that's awesome.

Her projects were involved, but I could see the use and do plan to use them in my classroom. Her grading was confusing and I didn't feel I understood what she was looking for on a regular basis. She also tended to give low grades and then ask you to change one thing and give full credit. She had a lot of good information but would go on tangents.

Shes really easy dont get me wrong but her exams suck. Dont worry about her exam reviews they have nothing to do with her exam. I memorized the whole review and got a C+ on the exam. Also, if you see a question that says either all of the above or none of the above use that. Thats the answer to most of her questions .

I could not stand this class!! I felt like we discussed the same topics every week but in different words. As soon as the students got into a conversation about something on topic, she tried to "shush" them ifthe convo wasn't going the way she wanted. Never used the books then the bookstore refused to buy them back because they weren't being used

Excellent professor. Fair and extremely intelligent. What a wonderful asset to the education department. Dr. Gayle-Evans is so far my favorite professor, and I'm a Junior. She makes the concepts easy to understand. A lot ofthis course is common sense...people who dislike her obviously have none!

I loved listening to her Jamaican accent! She was very entertaining and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of personal experiences with the class that added relevancy to the subject matter. At times, she got "on her soap box" and stayed there too long. I would definitely take a class from Dr. Gayle-Evans again.

I am a business major and was taking this class to fulfill an exit requirement. That being said, Dr Evans was one of the nicest instructors that I have had at USF. I would highly recommend her classes. She found a way to make this absolutely dreadful subject appeal to everyone. I wish she taught more classes that I was interested in!

Am I the only person who thinks this lady is absolutely dreadful? She says, "whatever, whatever" way too much and has the most boring lectures! All she does is lecture straight from the book. I should have just bought the book instead of wasting my time going to her pointless class. If you talk to her in private she is extremely rude!!!

Pretty gewd class, there. Teaching Diverse Populations. YOu're expected to put in 15 hours of field observation @ one hour a week, so have some time in your schedule before you sign up. Otherwise, the class seems difficult @ 1st, but don't sweat, anyone can do it!
