He teaches at Virginia Tech now. Is hard to understand at many moments. Extremely lecture heavy so if you miss a class, good luck. He did not teach many important concepts that were critical for the tests. Also never updates Canvas and messes up grades. Do not get him as a teacher.

Comment:

Dr. Farhat is good at explaining math concepts with concession, this makes some concepts easier. Even if his spoken English is bad, he is a kind person. Dr. Farhat always assigns written assignment around 2 weeks before every in-term exams, and that was a massive work (around 70 questions from the textbook).

@Virginia Tech. Quite hard to understand at first, but you'll get used to it. He is very nice and is willing to help students during office hours. He sometimes makes mistakes, but they're just arithmetic errors. Although he teaches all the necessary concepts, they are sometimes hard to understand.

Try not to fall into this class. You will need two tutors to get you through. I do not recommended this man. The writing assignment required by the university for this class is literately a math problem and explaining it to his standards. Easier said than done.

well to all of you people who think professor farhat sucked, youre wrong. If you couldnt understand him, maybe you were the problem not him, so dont be so mean. Umm, quick update on Dr. Farhat. HE WAS TERRIBLE! I took him fall of 08 an you can not understand him, all of our homework was online, another teacher made our homework and tests and he was no help because he was out of toouch with ALL of our assignments. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Can't understand his english. Easy class, but english is very very hard. With no attendance policy, I messed around and never went to class and failed. Stay focused and concentrate on his english.

His accent is not very thick; so it's not difficult to understand him. He's a nice guy and tries to crack jokes in class. Like said, he adds bonuses on the tests if the class isn't doing to well. The only downside is he's the teacher to do problems for you instead of let you figure out the problem yourself. I would take his class again.

College Math II- Very thick accent, and uses to many fillers (um, ahs, etc.). Saw that the class wasn't doing so well so he added bonuses into tests, which helped.
