Comment:

I've always been fairly good at Science, and not really struggled in any of my past classes. However, this class was difficult. In the online version of BIO 104 the textbook is online and every chapter had quizzes in it. They are open book but will take about a hour to an hour and a half to finish, and that was only part of the homework every week.

Comment:

Very nice person in general! Wants to see her students succeed!! She makes class fun with labs. Homework is in the class but usually not hard, and gives you plenty of time to ask questions, and to study. Field trips are also a part of this course!

Heidi is dope! Take her 8 week class trust me! it is a breezy so many field trips, after the field trips we wouldn't even go back to parkland, do all the labs and work and its an easy B with no effort, put some effort in and its an easy A. Warning! there is a handful of assignments but they are not to bad if you dont wait till the end of semester

Heidi is a wonderful instructor that is passionate and helpful. She packs a lot of topics in at a fast pace and you need to attend the class! There are tons of in class work, which is nice because she is always there to guide you through it. You have to keep up in this class to receive an A.

Heidi was an awesome teacher! You can really tell she is passionate about this subject. She takes us on field trips so we actually get to see what we talk about in class. The quizzes, labs, and lab write-up are easy. She is very helpful if needed. Although a little scattered brained she is very laid back.

Heidi is extremely unorganized and unclear about assignments. She always gives random in class assignments, so if you don't go, you're basically going to get all zeros. Her quizzes are confusing and often don't make sense. I didn't feel as if she actually wanted me to succeed. She also gave me my only C EVER. DON'T TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES.

Class can be a little unorganized at times but the field trips are fun. The homework Heidi assigns isn't very difficult, mostly worksheets that ask questions from the text book. Heidi is super nice and is always willing to help if you have any questions.

As everyone has said, she's not the most organized. But she really knows her stuff and is passionate about it. It helps a lot if you're engaged in class and ask questions. The labs and field trips are awesome. Loved this class!

My favorite and most memorable part of environmental biology was the labs and field trips! They were really fun and I learned a lot. Class was sometimes confusing or boring because she's kind of disorganized, but other than that, she's great! One of my favorite classes I ever took at Parkland.

She isn't a bad teacher she just isn't very organized and with a class that complex you really need to be organized. The class wasn't hard but you pretty much had to teach yourself cause you would have to take a test before you learned the material. The set up for the class is pretty bizare but it seems like she changes it every semester.
