Comment:

Mr. Schulman is a very tough teacher, however he knows his stuff and is always available to answer questions before or after class or by email. You have to work hard, but that isn't a bad thing. Definitely a challenging class. I had to work really hard to keep an A in his class, but it is possible.

First off, I got an A in this class, so I'm not here just to complain. That being said, this professor is one of the worst out there. Not only is he condescending, he is actually amused when someone fails a test. Unless you are very familiar with the subject, avoid this professor at all costs because he will not help you.

This guy is awful. The lectures are worthless, the tests are impossible, and the annual report assignment is ridiculous. Avoid his class at all costs. If you must take it, be sure to take a nap before you go because he will bore you to sleep.

I don't understand people who say that they left the class confused. Every test (Final included) and quiz is open-book, but you still NEED to read the book in order to understand the material better. He is willing to help with any questions you ask and works problems out a LOT! As the material gets harder, you're going to have to work harder.

Mang. Acctg., He talks alot, giving examples from his personal experience, trying to be funny and keep you awake, gets a bit tiresome, but he's a good guy. Class will be as tough as the subject is for the pupil, he does not contribute to the challengingness of the class.

I dont know what all these bad reviews are talking about. They must have gotten a bad grade (lol). He' a good guy. He's very organized, and always on time. He tells you exactly whast kind of problems will be on the tests and quizzes. He works out the problems on the board for you. Take good notes and you will do fine!

Works lots of problems on the board. Reviews before each quiz and test. All quiz's and tests were online...open book but it's timed. Some of the homework is done with excel which requires some skill. Willing to take the time to explain things.

I was not impressed with this teacher at all. He had a dry sense of humor and half of us came out of class more confused than when we had come in. Reading the text book is abosolutly mandatory. Homework and tests can be a pain. One thing I will say though is that after the tests when I had questions he was willing to stay and explain them to me.

I had previously taken this course with a different instructor and should have passed with the percentage I had in the class. This is the second time I have taken the class and not only did I have a better understanding of the material but I also had a much better grade.

He is a good teacher - he explains things well. Things that confused us in the text he would make crystal clear in class. His lectures were straight to the point, and towards the end of the semester, we would be let out early consistently. It was awesome.

Mr. Schulman can be very rude and his lectures are all over the place. I felt like it would have been better to take an online course. At least that way I could use my book and notes on tests. His lectures never made topics more clear to me. Learned everything from the book. Changed my major after taking this class... it was that bad!!

He is the worst teacher ever. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. He is disrespectful to the students, constantly mean and yells. Lectures are not clear and he wastes a huge part of class telling stupid stories. You would be better off taking an online class where you can at least use your book for tests. Great teacher, but a difficult subject. You must read the chapter prior to class or you will be lost. He will stay after class if you need more help. Always came to class confused and left confident I knew the material. Take his class.

This teacher is a great teacher, but he has no office hours and he isn't willing to give any out of class help. I did theh 2 8-week courses (financial and managerial) and got As in both, but I worked my ass off. I spend a lot of quality time with the only tutor (who is wonderful) and formed a study group which helped a lot.

Schulman is the man! Granted, accounting is a tough subject, but with Schulman it will be a lot easier. He explains everything very well and gives opportunity for a lot of questions. He is definitly the best accounting teacher at grossmont. If you pay attention and attend class, you will have no problem passing. He is an honest and fair grader. A++
