If you're good at math, you'll be able to get an A without showing up, there were a lot of ppl like that when I took the class. Professor Ng is a nice guy and a great professor; the best math teacher I've ever had. You've gotta study hard but its not impossible. I'm absolutely terrible at math, but I managed to get an A-

He is a great professor. One of the few professors on campus that know how to teach. At the beginning of each class, he goes over the previous day's lesson to reinforce what we learned. He also asks the class questions so that we follow along and don't just absentmindedly take notes. Do everything you can to take him, he's the best.

An amazing teacher. He makes sure you know everything you need to know for tests. His questions on exams are mostly examples he's done in class, but made a bit harder. If you pay attention in class and do all the homework, this class will be a breeze. Tests can be hard, and you have little room to make mistakes, so make sure you go over class notes

Dr Ng is the best lecturer I have this semester. He has rich industry experience & good teaching skill. He writes good tests & quizzes that help learn the materials better, but they are hard to prepare for actuarial exam. You should take this class if you like finance. But he wants you to pass, so there is a nice curve in the end. Dont skip class!

Professor Ng will test your knowledge on all math you have learned prior to Calculus III. However, if you put in the necessary amount of effort, you will learn a lot of Calculus, even if you do not pass. Midterms and the final are all based on the concepts. If you need help, read the book in its entirety and watch Professor Leonard. Ng is decent.

One of the strictest professors I've ever had. Homework extensions? Nope. Parachute policy? Forget it. His tests are based on concept only and he makes them very tricky and difficult. I got a B+ in Calc 1 and 2 and am struggling to make a C for his calc 3 class. Beware: he will test your ENTIRE knowledge of calculus.

This class was one of the best math classes I have taken. His teaching style is so easy to follow and he clearly explains his examples in class. But since he gives so many examples in class, it is hard to pass if you skip, unless you already know the material. Just take note of every example, study from them, and it is an easy A!

One of my favorite professors of all time. If you want to learn a practical approach to math, then this is your guy. I can't say he was an easy professor, but I still remember a good amount of the stuff he taught from a class I took three years ago.

Teaches really well! Although his midterms really test your knowledge on Calculus 3 and can be difficult, he curved a lot for our final. So we all got one letter above from what we expected. So take him! You'll be surprised.

Before the first midterm you'll think he's amazing with the way he explains the concepts. But don't expect the midterms to look like hw. He is based alone on concepts and not number/equation based. He also has an accent. If you're fine with work like statistics then take him, if not i recommend another professor. Take good notes.

Tests are a bit tough but questions were similar to those of the homework problems, and some from the lecture notes. Best quality of the professor is that he will give you partial credit if you make an attempt on any problem on the exam. So... Don't leave any blanks!

This was a pretty easy class for me, although I do consider myself a math person. One thing that I liked about this prof was that he did not try to make the tests unecessarily dificult. Test and quiz questions are very similar to what was covered in class and the homework.

Ng is a great lecturer, he makes his lecture clear and understandable. Be aware his tests are hard and tricky!! The best way to do well on tests is to go over the lecture notes. The whole time I thought I was going to fail this class but his final curve helped me. Even though tests are tough, work for it and you'll pass :)

Honestly one of the best math professors. Knows how to teach, explains the concepts extremely well, and curves exams. Tests are loosely based on the homework so be sure to do it and understand it.

Really enjoyed Professor Ng's class. He was super-organized and very clear in lectures. He always goes over a little bit of the previous lecture at the start of every class, which helps. He's also funny, especially for a 7:30 AM math class. Plus, he's a caring guy and really took the time to help me out.

We just had our first midterm. I know the textbook does a really bad job of explaining the material but as long as you attend the lectures and understand the problems in class, you are good for the midterm. It wasn't too difficult. Pretty straightforward - one graphing, one solving, one finding the dual, and other solving artificial variables.

Would recommend this professor. He is quite helpful and homework and exams are straight forward. He will recycle same questions (with content change) from midterm and quizzes for the final so everything is straightforward.

Professor Ho is awesome. He is really a good math teacher. His quizzes, midterms, and finals are from hws and lecture notes, so attending class is mandatory. His exams are not easy, but if you come to class and listen then you will do fine. Don't try to memorize the steps but you should know how to do b/c the exam questions are kind of tricky.
