Comment:

Sara Jameson-One of the best teachers I've had at university level. Hardest work I've ever had to do. WR 362 took more work than any 3-credit class I've done. Fair grader, responsive, clear expectations, gives grading guides so you know exactly how to perform. If you fail it's because you just want to slide by. Won't work in this class.

Comment:

Prof. Jameson is amazing! She is very sweet and very personable. She interacts with all of her students, which is hard to do with online classes. She really made me feel like I could write, which I had never had a teacher make me feel like that before. I would take this class again if I could.

She's the toughest grader and even if you meet the requirements you're only going to maybe get a B. The class is incredibly confusing and disorganized. Do not take this class if you really want to know what you're doing. I hated this class and would never take it again. You barely have to actually go to class though! The only plus to this hell

They need professors to teach these advanced courses, not instructors. I loathe this class because I am more confused than ever and don't get any help or clarification when I go to her office: that's if she's even in her office during office hours.

I had her for WR214 in Fall 2013, it was the worst class I have taken at OSU. I have WR222 this term, and it is much better. I think Sara tries to be helpful, but she muddles the conversation. By the time she was done with her rambling, I forgot the question and wished I hadn't asked.

I took this class not as a traditional class, but we ended up doing too much online work. If I had wanted an online class, I would have taken one. Other issues that turned me off to this class were the professor's inability to carry on a linear discussion and her disorganization. I felt claustrophobic in her office from all of the clutter.

Mrs. Jameson is a very good teacher. If you are lazy, don't take this class. If you want to learn something, go for it. If you want a good grade it's a lot of work but she is extremely helpful and very fair.

She is a good teacher but I hated the class therefore I did not like her that much. This class needs alot of work and I spint on this class more time than I spend on math. For me I had more better writing Techers then her. she is good source of help also she is harsh greader.

Sara is one of the better teachers at Oregon State. If you actually want to get something out of a writing class, take her class. She provides good feedback on every paper, and a lot of it. Anyone who said she is unorganized, she is one of the most organized instructors I have had. Her class is very structured. You will get the grade you deserve.

I have taken WR 121 and WR 327. Got A and A- (due to not doing good job in the final paper). Picky on grading, but awesome in explaining the requirements of papers. If you are not a hard worker, don't even think of taking a class with her. If you are interested in LEARNING, she is definitely your choice.

Many people were complaining about her much homework, which may sound okay. However, she is excellent at explaining the material. She always accept late homework. Need is to send her an email. Use OH! If your work was great and she felt you did stupid mistakes that may lower your grade, she will ASK YOU to correct them before submitting them

Completely disorganized. Doesn't seem to be able to answer questions directly without going on a 20-minute tirade. She'll make a judgment on you in the first few weeks, and from there, it seems your grades are pretty much determined. I don't find her competent enough to teach at the university level--middle school, maybe.
