Comment:
Out of interest I took his class many years ago. His teaching was really about himself. I suppose that̢۪s why the lectures were often incoherent and punctuated with bursts of aggressive self-righteousness and moral grandiosity. He also repeatedly mentioned he went to Oxford. I am an Oxon too. I can say that most of us who teach are not like him.

Deff. one of the most challenging classes I have taken at Carleton, but awesome just the same. To boot, he was SUPER helpful re: anything that I was unsure of or needed help with.

Culture and Symbols. The lectures are terrible, the book is terrible but the exams were EASY!
