Comment:

I loved Dr. Walters. He is funny and makes the class engaging. It is a flipped classroom, so you have to watch video lectures as homework. But you do go over many activites in class which helped me understand the material. There are 3 exams, each 25% and an optional final to replace the lowest grade. He makes it easy to succeed in this class.

Went to class every day for the first half of the semester and did terrible. Skipped the last half and taught myself the material and increased my test scores by 20%! Great guy and very funny/enjoyable as a person.

His tests can be difficult and the videos take up a lot of time, but all around he is a really great and caring professor and makes the material interesting. No textbook required either which is nice.

He's a great professor. He learns your name and really cares about you. He's passionate about his class and loves what he teaches. His tests can be tricky, but stats is just a hard subject. Study, do the work, show up, and you'll be fine.

Great professor, very funny and engaging which is nice for a statistics class. Best advice is to really fill your index card up for the tests, he likes tossing a few tough questions on his tests. Not sure if he'll do a flipped classroom again but if he is, be prepared to spend a lot of time with his class taking notes at home.

Comment:

Most people don't like statistics but he makes it entertaining by the use of examples and stories. You need to prepare for his exams but he allows you to have an index card with whatever you want on it - SUPER helpful for the test. I would definitely recommend him for statistics.

This professor goes above and beyond. I am a student that has always struggled with math and he took the time to work with me and other students on a one on one basis to help us get thru. He has a way of explaining things in a simple manner and adapts his teaching to terms that the student can relate to. I couldnot have asked for a better teacher.

This class certainly doesn't feel like a math class - it's easy! He gives you so many opportunities to pull your mark up. He gives you a notecard, a bonus final exam, questions straight from homework. Seriously, If you don't get an A in this class it's because you're not trying.

He is a great professor. He really explains things and gives plenty of example. Do not miss class, he can cover so much material in one session. Being able to use an index card on the test is a life savor. Do your HW its a quater of your grade, an easy A..and you get to drop your lowest test grade so the final basicially optional.

Excellent Professor, Offers many ways to improve grades and keep them passing. Homework is easy and it allows you to gain knowledge on the programs you use in class. Excellent Professor, Take him if your in health care, you will benefit from him.

Horrible professor. He knows he isn't going anywhere so he continues to 1/2 teach. He expects you to know what you did wrong on hw without having it back before the test and then when you get it wrong he takes a ton of points off on the test. Do not take this class with him. There are others to take it with.

He tries to make the class more interesting by telling jokes. Doooooo your homework it helps sooo much. He takes things off the homework and puts it onthe test. He always you to use an index card with formulas and stuff on every test !!! This helps alot!!

Dr. Walters is incredibly helpful and makes statistics easy to understand. He also makes the class interesting by using example of current studies that are related to student's majors. He is very down to Earth and is absolutely hilarious.

He is an arrogant person, who thinks he is funny when he really is not. Favors students and is not willing to help. He teaches the class like you have already taken it. Unfortunately he is the only one who teaches this class. Good luck, your lucky if you pass.

Do good from the beginning because it gets harder and harder and he fails to let you know when to use what (you'll know what I mean). Dont think that being there everyday and trying makes a difference. If you dont know it, youre done for. Good Luck.
