its best to avoid ioannis. when enough people have the same negative opinions about someone, its almost certainly true. the class was a huge waste time of time and the students often joked about how little they actually learned and how ioannis made up useless work 5 min before class

Terrible teacher. Don't choose his class, you learn nothing cause he will sit behind and make his phd students to teach. Don't work for him, he is mean, demanding, arrogant and shows no respect to students.

Nice instructor that wants you to succeed. He helped explain the algorithms in the book in a clear manner. He demanded full attention and participation, but with good reason. Homework instruction needs improvement as it was not very helpful and need some guidance on reading material. Overall good quality.

Dr. Kakadiaris can be demanding and no-nonsense to the point of offensive, and his lectures are so-so. However, he pushes professionalism harder than other profs at UH. which is good prep for the academic job market, and he practices what he preaches. Take him if you value being pushed and don't mind a bit of ego.

He is the worst PhD and postdoc advisor ever. He is always stressful and aggressive at his office, on the other hand, he tries to smile and make joke in public. Although you are PhD student, you can hear from him: "You are not a student, you must do what I say", "I am paying you, you should do this, otherwise you can leave now". Stay away from him!
