She is a terrible teacher in my opinion. She bearly goes over the matterial that will be on the test. When the test comes around, she gives questions that can sometimes contradict what the textbook says.

Sweet lady. Watch a lot of videos. Felt like a lot of information was givin at once, she sometimes did not go over chapters that we read at home. Found it diffcult to understand her teachings.

This is not a real psychology class! It's actually environmental studies/political indoctrination. Class time is spent watching videotapes of lectures saying that pollution is bad. The main purpose of the class seems to be to convince us to save the earth... which would be fine at a rally, but this is supposed to be an intro to psychology course.

honestly, lanum is way too old to be teaching. her voice is quite annoying, she makes absolutely no sense, and she has 10 second pauses in between her words. i dont know why she does this constantly, she might have lost her train of thought. moral of the story...DO NOT TAKE HER PSYCH CLASS

I took her Intro to Psych course. Somehow was able to introduce completely irrelevant material about the evolution of the earth due to her sustainability extremist bias. She's pleasant, and has a harmless personality, but makes NO sense. WTF.

Dr. Lanum is a college professor in the real sense of the word. This means you have to read and study info that isn't always entertaining and maybe get another B. When you get to a U.C., you'll know what to expect from taking her class. People who think psych is easy will get a real surprise then.

I wish i had visited this webiste before chosing Lanum. You don't learn anything about psychology in her class! I'm so frustrated with her. I'm dropping it before I can finish the course. If you want Envyronmental studies take her class. But if youre interested in psyche...I'm begging you..please stay away.

worst teacher ever!! When i first saw the comments on here, i thought they were just lazy students who earned the grade they got....but it really isnt like that. Im a 3.8 student and barely got a B in her class...i would have had a C but i did the extra credit (WHICH IS A MUST). dont take her if you plan on wanting to learn or do well

You know what, the attendance is part of your grade, however, her lectures are completely USELESS!! Everythings from the book. Literally.. from the book ONLY. The tests are a lot harder than her lecture. She's the worst. Don't bother...

Oh-o....very HARD....2 people in our class got an A, the rest a c,d or FAILED....REALLY HARD..you have to study like crazy...her tests are so tricky it's not even funny...HARD. Work HARD!! Not very much about psychology...more environmental stuff, evolution, physics and other boring stuff, not what I excpected at all wanting to study psychology.

You must read the book. Lectures are very unclear. Test material comes from lecture notes, textbook, and OLD movies she plays during class. Out of 26 students- 10 failed her class!!! She makes you lose any interest you may have had in psychology.

YOU WILL HAVE TO READ THE BOOK! 80% comes from text, it is up to you to read and know each chapter. Only went over 10 chapters, so each test only cover 2. Final is cumulative which is a drag. Bonus is that if you do sustainable works you get a 1 letter grade bump up. Easy to get an A if you study and do the EC. prior science knowldg rcmndd!

I took her class every friday. She can be very interesting but at times pretty boring. Test are strickly from the book. Some are from her lectures. Test they are in my opinion pretty hard,but i guess if you really study you should be able to pass. I rec her if Psychology is your major. if not dont take her.WHY? becuase YOU HAVE TO READ!!!!
