I forgot his name until I just found an old paper I had written in his class and received my first college "F". I have since made a career of writing, having been on the writing team that received an Academy Award nomination in 2007, a Golden Globe Award in 2012, scores of publications and a teaching career in writing. Maybe I should be thank him.

Wow...he is one hard of a grader. I really encourage people to NOT take his class. If you are a person who hates English take another professor. Attendance is very important and the classes are boring. He has mood swimgs. Somedays he is nice others he is grouchy.

I loved Mr. Hitt's class and really improved my writing through the excercises and feedback he provided. He was very understanding and clear about his explanations. The class IS difficult, but incredibly helpful and enjoyable. The critique and feedback he provided was always helpful and kindly worded.

Coming from someone who doesn't even LIKE the subject he didn't make it any better. He enjoys starting off non-lab days with pop quizes on the reading- no bueno. This class is not good for the students who need indepth explainations on things.

Mr. Hitt hands out "Hitt's rules for successful writing" at the beginning of his class. The rules are sometimes difficult to follow but worth the effort. By following his rules, I learned to look at scenarios from all perspectives, broadened my vocabulary and perspective. Instructors are impressed by my writing abilities thanks to Hitt's rules.

Though he can be a jerk at times, and is insulting and rude, you do learn a lot in his class, but it is not an easy class. To get a good grade, you have to do a lot of work.

mr. hitt is a great 1A teacher because he goes over each paper with you and points out your mistakes and tells you how to fix them. but as a 1B teacher he assumes to much and doesnt explain his requirements to well.
