Really good professor, very honest and open. Come to class he explains everything in great detail its hard not to understand because he explains things so well. He talks very fast and does let out very early most class just come to class and pay attention. Do the work and the papers and its honestly an easy A.

The only bad thing id say is he makes you watch alot of movies and write lots of papers but doesnt give enough feed back to know youre learning or understanding what he is teaching

I wish I took him for my second semester. He is such a great professor and he made me love writing. James made his classes very fun and interesting since he made us watch films. Amazing lectures with humor included. I honestly recommend him. Easy grader, laid back, chill and funny. Easy A.

I came everyday expect two days and did 96% of my work so i wasnt expecting nothing less than B+ but I ended up getting C. For all the papers he handed back, he didnt give any feedback or help with much. He even said it himself "I'll give As if you do your works" As you can see not a man of his words as well.

He is a great professor. But I do not recommend to take him unless you like to write a lot. He is an excellent teacher who is funny, great, and caring, but gives a lot of homework, classwork, and lot of essay papers to write. You will write a lot and do mad work if you take him.

Honestly the best professor ever, he is very engaging and when I took his class I was always so excited to go. However he does give a lot of homework and essays but it's all worth it in the end, if you're taking english 102 he is the professor you should go to because he is so helpful and you will be writing essays like a pro.

Awesome professor. I had him for an accelerated English course and there was lots of homework at a rapid pace, but nothing you can't handle. We watched and discussed many movies in his class which was very interesting. He is really funny and teaches you well as long as you are present. If you miss class you are sure to fail and miss out.

Kenney is a special case. Good guy overall but not the world's best professor. Gives a lot of work so if you have a job it's best not to take his class. He says some very weird examples in class and isn't funny, very corny! But he does make you a better writer for the future. I think if you're willing to stick to his madness then take his class!

I've had the pleasure of taking Professor Kenney for two semesters now. I honestly have to say he is definitely among the best of the best. There are about four major papers that you develop over the course of the semester along with supplementary readings (not a textbook). He prepares you to be a better writer. Do the work well / you'll do well.

THIS PROFESSOR IS JUST AWESOME. HE GIVES A TON OF HOMEWORK AND ABOUT FOUR PAPERS BUT HE IS REASONABLE. HE PUTS ALL OF THE READINGS ON BLACKBOARD, BE PREPARED TO PRINT PAGES AND MAKE SURE YOU BRING THEM TO CLASS OFTEN. HE GIVES POP QUIZZES ON THE READINGS. IF YOU EXPLAIN THINGS TO HIM HE IS PRETTY UNDERSTANDING.

The professor makes the class interesting. We watch movies almost every other week and and have class discussions every day. Just make sure you're on time the professor will hate you and it pisses him off if you come to class late. Make sure you do your homework or else you'll fail. Overall the class was good.

Well for starters hes rude and super obnoxious. This class is based off of everything fiction, plays, books, short stories. he gives packets with stories and poems in them. He gives a quiz for every piece of literature you read, you must pay very close attention to detail in the work. Although some of the stories are good, he gives a lot of work

He has to be one of my favorite professors. Stays on task, and even makes jokes that relate tot he topic in hopes of it sticking more easily. Very fair grader (in the summer session anyway) Just pay attention and do as you're told. Don't keep committing the same mistakes every time they've been corrected.
