I didn't enjoy taking this class with Dr. Martin. The tests and quizzes are extremely difficult so there's a huge grading curve. Pay attention in class and be ready to answer questions in lab. .

Comment:

Dr. Martin is amazingly intelligent, but he doesn't always remember that there's a huge learning curve. Not particularly fond of people who are lazy, don't care, or aren't very intelligent to begin with. Much more amiable outside of class than in class. Sit in front; he's soft-spoken. Believe him when he says you need to take note of something.

Good Curves. Will help you ALL YOU NEED as long as he is in office hours. Sitting near the front is key because he is sort of quiet and he gives quiet hints when he puts his hand to the side of his mouth as if telling secrets. I wish i could have taken more classes with him.

Dr. Martin is the man. Animal Bio is really hard. It should be at least a 200. level class. He is easy to get along with if you are a hard worker. He hates kids that skip and don't try. Excluding, Biology and Society, his classes are very important. If you are not a serious biologist or are not pre-med,vet, dental or physical therapy, do not take

Dr. Martin is a interesting. He loves bugs. His lecture style is a bit scattered-much like talking to him in person. His tests are BRUTAL, and then gives a huge curve. Lab was really intense for the first half of the semester. When he says you need to know something for a lab exam, he is not kidding, and generally offers review All around nice guy.

Excellent teacher. Really cares about his students understanding the material. Will help you if you are willing to ask for it. Challenges you and makes you earn your grade. Goofy sense of humor, makes class fun. Willing to talk outside of class and help you out with anything, even if it isn't class related. All around great guy.
