Comment:

Dr. T is great. He is a nice guy who really cares that you learn, but he can be a bit wordy and long winded. You really should go to every class, pay attention, and try to participate. If you don't try and you don't study (A LOT) then you won't pass. The tests are hard, but manageable. Nice guy, hard class.

Comment:

Dr. T is a man who knows his biology. Very passionate about students understanding that evolution is a theory and it is essential to understanding the natural world. He gives lasting examples that I will carry with me the rest of my Career. If you are a pre-professional I do not recommend his class. I do recommend his class if you are in Biology

I love Dr. T. He is a very challenging prof, espcially on tests, so study. However listen to him, even when he goes off on his tangents, becuz you will learn so so much and you won't get an opportunity to listen to someone this intelligent talk about what they love very often. There are 2 presentations but they are interesting topics.

He definitely knows his material and expects you to. Designed for lecture/lab each time but really its a 2 hour lecture with a couple labs on Fridays. Most labs are on your own at home. Grades hard. Labs are the easiest part. Study!About 8 chapters per test. Tests are hard. Have 2 presentations. Final is ALL written and different from other tests.

I received an A in thompsons class. HOWEVER, I put atleast 2 hours a day into studying for his class. If you don't study a lot, you will not do well. You cannot guess on his tests, which forces you to learn the material. I can say that I acquired an unbelievable amount of information that will stick with me for a long time and benefit me.

Dr T is very intelligent, but he doesn't do well in lecture applying that knowledge in a practical way for those of us going into the medical field. His tests are insanely hard and he doesn't really provide a lot of direction on what to focus on. In lecture he criticized students for being wrong. So many students drop and fail...beware!

Comment:

Loved Dr.Thompson for Lab! Most labs are taught by a GA, but actually being taught by a professor was so helpful. I feel like Dr.T prepared me well for both lab practicals. He also is always willing to help and responds to emails immediately. I hear he is difficult for lecture, but for lab I would definitely recommend him!

He is super hard. Don't get me wrong, he is very detailed with the information he gives, but the tests are super hard. And the tests are the only things that make up your grade. The tests aren't multiple choice and he wants to you write paragraphs. Take him if you want a challenge.

Dr.Thompson is a great teacher. He is very knowledgable about the subject matter. Not only do you learn a and p, you learn the clinical significance of the material. His tests are fill in the blank, which is difficult, but makes you learn the material. If you want an easy A this is not the class.Take him if u want 2 learn the material and apply it.

He is a very understanding and helpful teacher. If you are serious about being in the medical field as your profession, he is the teacher to have. He is very hard, but there is a lot a medical professional needs to know. If you can't understand that this class is highly important to your career, take an easier teacher.

I had Dr. Thompson for A&P1 lab and loved him! He expects you to learn the material. There are weekly quizzes along with D2L HW and lab reports but if you do the work, attend class, and study for the practicals you will pass. He expects alot out of a student, but it isn't unrealistic, for lab anyways.

Dr Thompson is an excellant teacher! His tests are hard, but once you figure out how to prepare for them it is completely do-able. You do have to work hard for your grade, but its worth it to really know the material. I would recommend him to anyone who REALLY wants to learn A & P, those just looking for a good grade, take someone else.

Dr. Thompson is a very caring and intelligent man, but his lecture course is ridiculous. It is the most stressful class I have ever taken. It is impossible to study for the tests, and his study guides are usually over 100 pages long. His lab is fine, but for your own sanity, DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR LECTURE!

nice class. he is helpful but has a bad attitude. boring slides but labs are fun and easy. there r lab reports and weekly quizzes online that are long but found answers on google. better at lab then lecture so if you have 2 take this he really isn't bad. i enjoyed lab way more then lecture. if you have a question about an answer he gives you credit
