Comment:
With this professor get ready for MULTIPLE political rants about his liberal opinions. He makes class not desirable to go to because of this and places an ENORMOUS emphasis on participating in class rather than actually assessing students by what they have learned through exams, papers, etc. Discussion is worth as much as the final exam...

Dr. Weber is sarcastic and rude. He makes fun of students in class to their face and other professors in the business school. He also picks on Asian students in particular. He has 300 points for participation but favors certain students not giving other a chance to participate. He is very rude in emails & is just a know t all. Do not suggest taking

Good professor, you have to read to get an A, no shortcut. Class participation points. He gives a lot of info during the lectures, so if you miss them, you will miss out in the exam. Only two exams, two essays, one group project, that's about it. I recommend him.

Comment:
Dr. Weber was a great professor. Participation does matter but you do not have to speak EVERY single class. Two papers, he outlines what he wants. Straight to the point for each answer. There are like 30 some online quizzes that are 5/6 questions long. The reading required is not too much, but there is a lot every week. Great guy, funny man.

Dr. Weber's class and assignments consist on participation, understanding the material, and WRITING. If you don't know how to express yourself and what you've learned by writing it down on an exam or typed essay, and if you don't like to participate, it's going to be a tough class for you. Overall, he's a great professor, but you have to work a lot

Not a difficult class but Weber will make you hate every second of it. He thinks he is hilarious with his bizarre sense of humor, and will make you look stupid going against his opinion. Participation is a MUST every class. Taking 18 credits this semester, I was consumed with the most work for this class. It is not worth the time or energy. Avoid

P. Weber is no doubt an intelligent guy with a unique sense of humor; however, this past semester, taking 18 credits, was mostly consumed by his class. I don't think any student should have to worry about turning in a 10 page ETHICS paper (and get a C) on ethics when they have 4 or 5 other classes with much harder material to grasp and prepare for.

Best professor ever. Everyone should take him. He does not believe in memorization, so he allows a cheat sheet on exams. The simulation (if you have him for management) is time consuming but EXTREMELY helpful. It allows you to learn about real life business strategies without real consequences. Plus, he's passionate and wants everyone to succeed.

HORRIBLE teacher! He makes fun of students to their faces, lacks respect for everyone--including other faculty at the university, and grades based on his opinion of you and your participation in class. One of the worst teachers in the business school at Duquesne.

I participated a lot and read the chapters. He explains majority of the material in class. Although some things are unclear to be honest. Have to write 3 papers do a group oral presentation and 2 test no final. As long as you work hard and participate you wil receive a good grade. Hes not as bad as everyone is saying he is.

This guy makes fun of students to their face about public affairs knowledge. He requires a ton of participation but only those he favors have the opportunity to earn the points. If you try to talk to him, he talks and then he's done without hearing anything you say. Seriously, do not take him.

Dr. Weber has great knowledge of what he teaches, yet he is very unfair towards his students. He speaks to his students as if they are 10 and unknowledgeable, nor is he very helpful. He is extremely unclear via email, and participation in his class is INSANE. Nothing is negotiable, and his sarcasm is used as embarrassment towards students. RUDE!

Every email exchange with him is curt and condescending, he talks to me like I'm a 12 year old. I asked for an extension and a paper I submitted was in a format he couldn't open once and he immediately accused me of shirking my work and/or deliberately submitting work in a format he couldn't access. Since I took the class online, I never had the opportunity to interact directly. I didn't find him arrogant, as others have. I did find him demanding (appropriately so). I frankly found much lacking in my classmates' ability / willingness to communicate effectively. This should be hard. It's grad school.
