Every single class she seemed legitimately happy to be there and that kinda makes a huge difference. she doesn't lecture or pick on people. she just goes over problems and hopes for your own sake that you're understanding and is super helpful when asked questions. she grades very meticulously which is helpful in correcting mistakes. she's a gem

She was a good teacher but gave an excessive amount of homework and it had no affect on final grade. Practice quizzes were very similar to actual quizzes.

Very caring and helpful. She is very organized and straightforward (online class, anyway). The material is HARD, not the teacher. She really wants you to succeed and will help however she can. The final is cumulative and tough, but study a lot and practice a lot. Took this class with my daughters and we all got A's. Very doable, if not easy.

Janeen was an ok. I understand that it's the student's responsibility to reach out to the teacher if they had problems or had a bad grade, but she also never seemed to get close to her students or personally take her time to reach out to them. I never bonded w/ the students; Small class yet she never learned our names. Class didnt interact 2gether

I absolutely love her! She was very funny and helped me understand things I didn't understand before. Whatever you cover in class, she expects you to do in the homework packet. You don't turn in the homework until you take the test on those chapters. She checks every page and 20 points go toward your test. I would definitely take her class again.

If you struggle with math (dont we all) please sign up with Janeene. I took the accelerated class of 125/131. It was hard work! But Janeene can explain math in a very, simple, and fun way. I would recommend for anyone who struggles with math. She is there to help. Calculus is now a breeze because of the pre-calc series taken from Janeene

Withdrew from this online class because it was very demanding. Online math classes aren't easy but this is ridiculously hard. Very fast paced and she covers a lot of material in this class. Practice exams are long and doesn't prepare you adequately. Just ends up confusing you. I ended up taking this class at State and it is SO much easier.

This is the worst online class I have ever taken. You are expected to spend at least 3-4 hours a day. Practice exams are lengthy and does not prepare you for the actual exam. Expect to teach the material yourself since there are no lectures to rely on. Videos/resource materials on MathLab are a huge joke.

Took online and would never take her again. If you work and take other classes this is not the class for you. She expects too much out of her students and gives too much homework and quizzes for what the class is. She actually doesn't teach the course. She uses mymathlab and youtube videos. Take this class with a different professor

Unless you have 40 hours a week to do this basic class, you wont pass. She treats it like it's the only thing in your life that you should be doing and that's just not realistic. Obviously online courses are no easier than classroom courses, and while she's very willing to help, don't take this unless you have nothing else to do.

Took online pre-calc 126. a lot of homework and quiz. The most important thing to do is study your in-person tests. They are worth 75% of your grade, 8%hwk, 17% quiz. She gives a practice test study guide online and its almost identical with the test except different numbers but same type of questions. Super cool teacher!

You might expect this a good thing, but its not because you are too busy trying to finish the homework that you are not grasping the concepts! 4. 5 tests are taken on campus! 6. Study Guides are NOT helpful!

Mrs. Apalatea is great! As long as you complete the assignments and attend class you will do great! She is very helpful & friendly when you have questions, also accommodating for any special circumstances that come up during the semester. All homework online, quizzes in MLC, paper tests every 2 chapters in class. Take her class!

This teacher is always helpful if you need anything she will help you the best she can. Very time consuming class though. If you dont have the time I wouldnt suggest taking this class. You have to keep up on your work. Overall a very good teacher!

Comment:

This online class demands 3 hours a day, 6 days a week, which will suck away your life. Lecture material sometimes doesn't match homework, quizzes can take up to half a day to complete, and studying for a test can take many days of constant work. While she is kind and encouraging, I'm certain you can find an easier teacher elsewhere.
