Janet is the BEST teacher i ever had at Green River College. She really cares about the grades of each student. And she's really helpful in getting ready for your majors. She's GREAT!!! the concepts mgiht seems a little bit hard, but she's always there to walk you through this.

Absolutely wonderful at teaching computer science courses. She's very approachable, so it's very easy to ask for help with understanding concepts. Her lectures are also entertaining.

It's kind of boring for me in class but she is a helpful teacher if you really need someone who is there for you. There are 4 tests which you can do fine by practicing on the practice it website of UW.

Went into it not expecting much, came out LOVING programming. Dont look at my grade as a quality indicator, she is a great teacher and about everyone in the class except me got a 4.0 (even if i can outprgoram them...). Highly recomended

Janet is the best teacher I have ever had. She teaches exactly what is in the book which makes it easy to follow along. She is very friendly and encourages team work. Just cover your yawns! She will challenge you so it is essential to study every day. If possible read ahead. Did I forget to mention that she is hilarious?

As a person, I like her a lot. Great sense of humor and just a crazy personality all around. Teaching? Not really. Unclear explanations for such a complex topic. Tough grader, and no opportunities for extra credit. If you aren't already a gifted analytic thinker, be ready to teach yourself with the book. I envy anyone who can do this.

LOVE HER AND THE CLASS! As my first programming class, it was challenging and hw takes a lot of time but Janet is always happy to give individual help whenever asked for. The programs we write are fun. She gets to know each individual student personally. She also asks the class for advice/feedback and WILL adjust her teaching style as needed.

Even though I had not understood a single thing from Java 1 with another instructor, Janet helped me A LOT to go through Java 2 with my current grade of 4.0. She got all of my respect. Janet rocks my life and is simply the best :)
