He's an amazing professor, his quizzes are easyish if you study well before. I hated physics going in but he made me love it and really enjoy it. He makes his student laugh and really engages with them. I wish he taught 222 in the fall. Real Gem. Go with Keith 100%. He knows its not an easy class and gives his students the chance to actually to pas

Keith is very passionate about physics and his lectures are great. You're expected to do online prelectures, try the HW early and then ask about what you didn't understand. Usually he doesn't have a lecture plan and just goes with students' questions, and it worked really well. He is very kind and wants you to get a good grade. Loved his class.

He doesn't allow taking notes on a computer. Labs are just him demonstrating how stuff works, so you don't have to submit any reports. He gives time for questions and cares about making sure students understand the material. Quizzes are easy-ish, tests can be challenging, but you get to pick 2-3 out of 4 long problems. Keith is awesome!

Quizzes aren't too difficult. midterm and final are more difficult and conceptual. long boring lectures. almost never gave opportunity for students to work on problems themselves in class. instead he would solve them all himself so you dont learn much. overall not too difficult.

He definitely knows what he's doing. When I took him last quarter I always complain that his tests are too tough, but now I'm taking a very confusing instructor and realized how great Keith was. Sometimes class gets boring because it's a 3 hour long lectures, but he tries to make it fun. No lab report, weekly quizzes, 2 SP a week - predictable.

Keith Rocks. Although he may be tough on his exams, he makes you work for what you do. I have taken physics 201 several times. Keith's approach is more relaxed on the homework in 201, but very tough on test so 201 is all about building confidence in your abilities. 202, ups the ante'. Book smart people can survive if they have intuition.

Keith is the best instructor I've encountered in my life. He makes lectures fun and engaging but not distracting. He genuinely cares about each student and will stop everything to make sure everyone understands. His tests are difficult but he gives you all the tools needed as long as you've attended and participated. He made physics easy for me.

His final was brutal. Study anything having to do with graphs and conceptual questions. Not an effective lecturer. Doesn’t go through enough examples. He lectures off the top of his head with no prepared notes. I didn’t understand his explanations, but I understood from other physics teachers.

his lecture is really good and he made physics interesting. However, it ends until quizzes and tests! They are really hard and tricky... If you are aiming to learn, take him. Otherwise, DON'T!

He is a fantastic teacher, one of the best I've ever had. The quizzes were very difficult but made you think through problems in new ways and gain a better understanding. He is very passionate and he truly makes you love Physics. He does many demonstrations to make you better understand the concept. He is funny, which makes for a relaxed atmosphere

He is the best physics teacher I've ever had! Don't get me wrong. I HATED physics when I was in high school. I was good in any other science classes and math classes, but I just suck in physics. I HATED it. Apparently I just didn't have a good teacher. With him physics seems to be a lot easier. He does fun stuff in class too! And he's very funny

I took Phys 202, 203, and 208 from Professor Keith and he is an amazing teacher! He explains concepts very well and makes class exciting with lots of interesting labs/demonstrations. You must do the homework and show up to class to succeed. If you do those things and have a good mathematics background, you can do well!

Of the 3 physics teachers I have had, Keith has been the best by far. He is a very funny guy and is also super smart! If you have a random physics question odds are he will be able to answer it. The tests and quizes can be challenging but they are not unreasonable. He is also grades kindly.

Keith Clay is my favorite teacher of all time. He is extremely knowledgeable, explains concepts clearly, and grades very reasonably. He gives substantial partial credit for even partial work. His homework assignments are not too long. I highly recommend him!
