He is clearly intelligent enough to understand the material but he is not good at explaining it to other people. He makes the labs last minute and sometimes they don't work so you're stuck sitting there until he figures it out.

Ba is a very likeable fellow, clearly intelligent, but seems somewhat disinterested in helping you really grasp the concepts. 8 weeks into the semester the first homework isn't graded. There is confusion every week over what assignment is due. He basically just works out the problems once on the board. I wish I could say I learned more.

His lectures were not good. Let's just say that. Things were not explained well and there were many random tangents. But this class is an easy A if you study so I really can't complain. However... If you are not proficient with mathematics, do not take this instructor. I have a solid grasp of calculus, and that saved me in this course.

Needed physics as a requirement for OSU. My goal was to just get through with a C. Dr. BA dropped 2/6 quizzes (taken outside of class) and took the top 2/3 exam scores. Quizzes and Final (worth 15%) based off practice quizzes posted throughout semester (save them!!). Complete the labs and get full credit. Do the practice quizzes. Use Chegg for help

Please do not take him! He is never prepared for his lectures and barely knows the answers to his own practice problems. Exams are really tough and way harder than the practice exams

This was one of the first classes that I've ever taken where the students seemed more prepared than the teacher. Before our first exam, we had 2 homework assignments that haven't been graded. There was a formula sheet he told us we would have two weeks before the exam which he scribbled on a piece of paper and photocopied the class before the test.

By no means is this class easy but Dr. Ba clearly states what is going to be on the quizzes and tests! For quizzes, look at the practice quizzes posted online. For tests, review the homework problems, they are the EXACT same questions. Didn't have the take the last 2 quizzes, the last test or the final and still passed with an A.

His lectures raised more questions than answers. He is the type of professor who will derive equations without explaining how he did so. His tests and quizzes are about as hard as you'd expect though he does grade on curve and gives out a fair amount of extra credit. The labs aren't difficult but you will need to attend them to get credit.

I hear a lot of people say he's bad but I liked him as a teacher. You need to read the book on your own because his lectures are free-form, but he's very smart and has a very intuitive grasp of the material, so his lectures are entertaining. Quizes and tests could not be easier since they all come from the practice problems he posts on BB; do them.

This Professor is not good for student because he is not helpful teacher, not send e-mail, not post grade, and he can't teach clearly and it's hard to understand what he is teaching class. Therefore, This Professor is not good for student. Sometimes he likes lazy person. I got A grade for this class but this class was boring me.

Hybrid course. I gotta admit, after reading some comments, i wasnt expecting this to be a fun course, but he made it interesting. didn't show up once, but he got really sick. NEVER replies to emails & almost never at office either. best time to ask him for help is aft class. he'll go out of his way to help u, u just gotta ask. overall, a great guy!

This was a hybrid class, met every other Saturday, but he skipped the last two class periods, for which we had a sub who put in a lot more effort and genuinely taught the material. Dr. Ba seems like a nice guy, but he didn't teach us much, we basically taught ourselves the material. I doubt I will take another hybrid class at CSCC based on this.

This was a hybrid class, so we only had to show up every other weekend for labs. Professor Ba's explanations were often inadequate, the labs were boring, and we had to meet Saturday mornings. There is a quiz for every chapter and you have to go to the testing center for them. This is the worst class I've ever taken at Columbus State, by far!

If you're able to take a course from another professor, I'd advise you to do so. He's nice/friendly but doesn't teach, doesn't grade assignments and loses them all the time and has no understanding of technology. I have to imagine there are better Physics professors available for hire. He's obviously just doing this for the paycheck.

Professor Ba is an interesting man. He has a slight french accent, but he is easily verbally understood. He was not very good at teaching the class material, but he made it easy for you to teach yourself . I did very well in his class. I did not have to take the third mid-term exam or the final exam and I still got a ninety-two percent.

this man is terrible proffessor. how he is still under columbus state payroll is a bigger mystery to me than LOST. he will stop class to answer his phone, doesnt respond to emails, he tells you things like you already knows what it is ("ykno what im sayin?"). i would NOT suggest taking his class ever. CSCC you guys need to FIRE him

Ba is very knowledgeable in his field and has many interesting stories related to the class. The lack of email response from him was disappointing. This was a hybrid class and the final was only available for a short period of time which required me to take off work. I took a hybrid class to avoid missing work. Poor communication out side of class.

I originally heard Ba was a jerk but I was happily suprised that he was very nice. In class he was more than willing to help. Any question asked he explained well. Only negative is the time it took him to grade everything and he doesn't return emails. However, in class he is very attentive.
