Dr. Wheeler is absolutely hilarious & I'll definitely take him again. He's incredibly enthusiastic and helpful during lectures and office hours AS LONG AS YOU'RE WILLING TO WORK FOR IT AND HELP YOURSELF FIRST. If you just want an easy A, then DON'T take this class, but if you do you will definitely learn a lot. Also, he gives amazing life advice!!

He's a nice teacher, confuses himself sometimes on the blackboard, though. You have to stay on your homework, he gets his tests from the book. Study is a must in his class, or else you won't get too far.

He was constantly making minor mistakes and confusing the class. For instance, he would do an entire problem then go back and erase half of it because he found something he did wrong. He won't actually teach you, he'll just do examples and expect you to know what he's doing as he does it. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone taking 1420.

Very good teacher. Will be more than willing to meet you outside of class to help. The tests are hard but they come straight from the homework so make sure and keep up.

I don't know why the other reviewers said he's rude. I think most people take their math frustration out on the prof. He's a very nice guy, always willing to meet outside of class. Very laid back, jokes a lot. Ask him about the Brown Cow. Make sure you do the homework and you'll be fine. First test is usually a shocker. He cares about his students.

awesome guy, made class kinda fun(as fun as calculus can be), and he lays out what he expects, and if you do not produce that(ie. doing your homework, and going to class) then you're not going to do well...duh

I was leary about this class(bef the sem began) after reading the comments below.. but I found the opposite. Teacher wasn't rude as expected, though hes very sarcastic..see him during office hours if you don't understand! VERY good at explaining things -writes them down slowly and goes step by step.

Ok, He isnt the easiest teacher ever. But hes very good about partial credit, and is VERY helpful if you go to his office. The key is DO THE HOMEWORK! He tells this 1st day. Overall a very good teacher.

He is absolutely the worst, rudest teacher at the University. Do not take hime he is a jerk, and doesn't care if the whole class fails, and makes snyde remarks and criticizes anything and everything. Drop the class if you get him. He is awful,terrible!!
