I knew I'd like this guy when he said "those Puritans, they were NUTS!" A good teacher with a quirky sense of humor. Keeps it light and interesting. Tests are a challenge, but fair.

For anyone who didn't think this guy was awesome, you're crazy! He helps you understand anything you need to know and yea his tests are hard but he says that all his lectures are fair game so just take plenty of notes!!

Lectures about 5 pages of notes every day, and you have to read the book to do well on the test. Lots of papers, and the tests are very difficult. When you're not falling asleep from listening to him talk, he can be pretty funny.

Despite being a 100 level.. he said he would teach like a 400 level or graduate level... he essentially said slavery wasn't that much, the north was responsibile for it, and the civil war... and said that the irish are lazy. It's worth it to stay in the Civil War class just to see how much he can offend everyone (which he has done an excellent job

go to class and take good notes and you won't have to do the readings. tests take a little time to prepare for but aren't too bad. very knowledgeable and you learn alot. does make you do 8 papers, however they are short and easy.

This guy robbed me of my grade because my group didn't do their work. A's on the tests...F's in group work...and now I have a C on my transcripts, which, as an honors student, doesn't sit well with me. Be very wary of your groups.

He is a great guy but he is very unfair. I ended up in a group with 3 other lazy students who didn't do jack for the group portion of the class. I complained to him and he said it wouldn't affect my grade...needless to say I have a C in a class that I should have an A in. Thanks, backstabber.
