As long as you attend class, participate, do work, and show that you learned at least a thing or two, i guarentee you will pass. But he will no doubt make you work your ass off. But if you want top of the line training in any programming class, take Mcfadden

McFadden is an awesome teacher. He works your ass off. If you just wanna coast through and get a grade but not learn then take Chao. If you wanna get your moneys worth and learn how to program take McFadden. The guy is full of knowledge and is fun to be around. I had him compressed for C# and i worked my ass off for a C. Great Professor.

I had professor McFadden in 2001-2002. He was a hard but fair man. One of the better teachers at DeVry. Throws you in the fire, but you REALLY learn. After I left DeVry, I got a job as an SAP programmer at IBM. McFadden was a real help. --T

woo mcfaddens final (the project) kills, and i mean KILLS, but his tests are pretty easy. he makes you learn and teaches confidence. if you dont do the work, you dont pass. but he is understanding.. very stressful.

McFadden is a Birlliant Professor. I too have heard that his course would be amazingly difficult. There is a lot of material to cover in this course, however if you keep up with it and READ the chapters BEFORE you go to class you will do just fine.

For a beginning C++ class it was pretty hard. The key to his class is to ask many questions and try different approaches. This is definetly not a class to "coast" through. If you want a good foundation this is the class to take.

Everyone complains about Prof. McFadden because his class is tough. He's by far my favorite professor at DeVry, his class is tough but you learn C++... and learn it well. Attend every class and focus on his lecture and you will do very well in his class.
