Jerry is a nice guy but he doesn't know what he's doing most of the time. He mumbles and goes off tangent, so it's a waste of time going to class. But his midterm is straight forward and similar to the saple midterm. No need to use his textbook, just use his slides! You learn absolutely nothing from the class :)

Comment:

Pros: Nice prof, easy going and not picky at all. Slides very useful for Mid-term Cons: expect to have a 20 pages individual paper, and, of course, 2 group papers. Basically, you can learn nothing from the class.

Good prof. Definitely knows his stuff. Just an overall good guy vibe. :) *There's quite a bit of group work but the individual parts of the course are where the curve sets grades apart.

Wouldn't recommend Jerry. There are a lot of reports to write as well as a presentation. Midterm is relatively easy. However, he grades based on how he feels and is extremely inconsistent with his grading. His grading is unfair.

Really helpful and understanding. I was not able to finish an assignment that was worth 30% on time and he was willing to give me an 2-day extension. He also tells interesting stories in class, though they may be a little long. :)

Absolutely the most lazy and boring professor I've ever had. Two group projects, two papers, and two evaluation on the two other groups. They were marked unfairly because he only accepts HIS answers. Just do yourself a favour and don't take this class with him.

There is so much to do in his class. 2 group presenations and 2 case studies and a final. His lectures are boring as he reads the slide for half the class and students presentations for the other half. He expects you to know everything for the final. Lecture slides and info from presentations which is unfair as most are poorly done.

Ethics is a boring class already, yet he made the class even more boring. There were so many things you needed to do: a case on a book or an article, a debate, evaluations on other groups, two individual assignments, and a final exam. Lectures slides were very wordy and he basically read off the slides. He used full 3 hours with a 10 mins break.

Not using much practical experiences. Group presentation everyone will get a 3 no matter how hard you work. Generally will reply your email requests... I didn't learn anything new in this course to be honest.. I wanted someone very case based but it wasn't.

This class is taught more like a lecture than a case analysis course on strategy; a couple chapters are covered every week. If not for the stories, I'd probably fall asleep, as the lecture is a repeat of the textbook (which he co-authored). Not much feedback is given on why you got the mark that you did, and it seems arbitrary at times.

One of the most relaxed business profs i've ever had. He is nice and approachable, but always late by 20 minutes. It was alright for me since i get to sleep in for a few extra minutes. Not all readings are useful, focus more on his notes. His midterms deviate little from previous semesters and are straight from powerpoints.

Take a class with him! He's very nice and his exams and assignments are completely fair. High overall class marks mean that the class will be scaled down. Makes boring content interesting with random tangents and interesting side stories. Focus on lecture material (don't bother with textbook) for 303. I would love to take a class with him again

Really nice guy, he seems to genuinely care, unfortunately he also is a bit of a scatter brain and goes on many tangents, making the class hard to follow. In my term he marked too easily and ended up having to curve everyone down drastically, a bit of a shock when 70ish becomes low C's and 90s are A-'s.

He's great! Funny and kind. Will help out whenever he can. He will go out of his way to help you out. As well, very considerate and wants his students to do well. I laugh at those who complain about him...if you read their comments, half them can't spell...LOL it's a miracle they even made it up to his class level.
