jessica has a very mild disposition, but do not let that fool you because the severe nature of her test will wreck you. sometimes i think she uses her tests as a means to release her pent up aggression. you have to REALLY know ur stuff, especially how to apply what youve learn. also!! be thorough on ur labs because she will grade them thoroughly.

Dr. Harper is a very nice lady, however her class is no joke. Start reading the textbook from day one, because her tests are a different breed. The way she makes them makes you really think about how everything relates to one another so you NEED to know your stuff. Other than that I cry myslef to sleep becuse of this class. Super nice though.

Professor Harper is a very nice lady, but when it comes to her teaching style its very unclear she faces the board and is quite and tries to be funny but mainly just stands and stairs if no one answers I didnt understand anything she taught whatsoever and not my preferred professor. If you like studying on your own go ahead and take her

Dr. Harper is the most caring person youll ever meet. However, I was not a fan of her lecture style. She does try her best but shes not a good explainer is unconfident in her answers leading you to not fully trust her explanation. She is accessible outside of class and will always try her best to help. Just be prepared to do a lot of studying.

If I had to take another chem class I would definitely pick her! She was very clear with her lectures and gives study guides for all the tests that really help you get prepared! She is great at helping you understand things you dont understand and very positive! She is so sweet! Definitely my favorite teacher at AVC so far!

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Harper, however the class itself is difficult. The tests are hard. Labs are interesting and fun. Homework is online. Overall, this was a tough class but its not impossible. You will work for your grade.

Dr. Harper is a very kind and sweet woman. She is extremely helpful and forgiving towards her students. The class itself is tough and rigorous, so the best thing to do is see her during office hours to clear up any confusion. Also, go to her SI sessions and do the homework! Otherwise, if you're willing to learn, she's willing to teach you!

She's such a sweet professor, she has so much enthusiasm and charisma and really cares about her students learning. That being said, she is not an easy A. You only need 70% to get full credit for a skills quiz (41% of the grade) but they are hard and they really challenge you. But she is always willing to help and gives you chances to succeed.

Dr. Harper is the sweetest woman. With that said, I & many others struggled heavily in this class with her teaching style. People who did well read a LOT to master/learn the material or were self proclaimed "natural chemists". Her slides would be MUCH more helpful if they had answers (not just questions) on them. She wants her students to succeed.

You'll learn a lot from her class but oooooo homegirl is not playing NO GAMES. Her grading critique is insane and is very strict when it comes to labs, tests, and so on. If you're up for the challenge then take her.

Her energy and enthusiasm over chemistry will rub off on you. Dr. Harper is EXTREMELY sweet and caring. Do the homework, pay attention in class, study, and you'll pass. She does not expect a lot out of her students. She is more than reasonable with the work she assigns. If you haven't taken chem 101, take her! She is more than willing to help!

Probably the nicest teacher I've ever had. Very compassionate and understanding. Willing to help answer all your questions and makes everything pretty clear during lecture. Her tests are moderate on the difficulty scale. She also provided extra credit opportunities. I would definitely take her again.

Harper is honestly a great professor, very caring towards students and goes the extra mile to help you understand difficult subjects, chem felt like a math class to me since there are many calculations, so it can get hard if you don't take the time to study or practice , not a class you can slack off in! do the hw from the beginning!

Harper is very enthusiastic in her lectures and very helpful in answering any questions you may have. She'll help you understand the difficult concepts, but she won't just hand you a free A, you'll still need to put in effort and actually study. Great teacher, super nice, and I would definitely recommend her if you're intimidated by chemistry.

Quiz before labs not easy. Labs were time consuming and disorganized a lot not finishing on time. Lab practicals were difficult. Honestly, even if you did attend SI, her teaching will not help. I hated the fact other students with a different lab instructor enjoyed their lab experience, prepared far better for the exams, and lab practicals!

I enjoyed taking her class. This was my second time taking chem and she made it easy for the class to understand the material as long as you ask her in class, small assembly or via email. Just be proactive and you'll get the grade in her class. Also, beware she does not give a lot of extra credits so do the HW.
