I absolutely love Professor Yood! Took her 9am class and honestly, it was the only class I enjoyed throughout the whole semester. She requires a textbook so make sure to bring it every class. This class is blackboard heavy so be sure to do them cause it'll be brought up in class. She'll push you to become a great writer, her feedback is amazing!

Comment:

Professor Yood is a great and positive instructor. However, don't take her class if you're not willing to work for your grade. Her class is blackboard heavy, assignments aren't so hard but it's a lot. She cares for her students and occasionally brings snacks. She's also willing to have meetings to help your essays and offers great feedback.

This class is not an easy A but you will learn! She knows her stuff and actually cares. Does meeting one on one for every paper and give you feedback. She may be harsh in the meeting but it really help the paper. Lots of reading and online work (if its hybrid she does A LOT on BB). She is great just actually try

Professor Yoods class was one the most excited classes I had since we only met once a week, a surprise, Ill say. She works hard for her students to improve there writing. Plus shes got great energy to run a 9AM class.

Is a better professor even possible? NO. I took her class once. Intro to Literary Study. I WAS a student of creative writing then. But that was then. Before her. If you are at Lehman to study and grow, take her. If not, there isn't a shortage of Easy A professors in our department. #TeamYoodFOREVER

She's super down to earth and has great energy for a morning class. Occasionally she even brought us breakfast! She chose books that were enjoyable and easy to relate to. A few papers that she allowed us to revise, midterm and a final presentation. Loved her!

Prof. Yood is super cool. Attendance is super important to her as well as punctuality, however I didn't feel like it would have hurt my understanding of the class had I missed a few classes, since she uses blackboard. She's very encouraging and gives detailed feedback -- be ready to do at least 3 drafts of every writing assignment.

Professor Yood was my ENG 303 teacher the first semester I transferred to LC. Since this time, I've had her in a few more UG courses, but the pinnacle of my experience with her was being a graduate student in the various courses she teaches. I enjoy Prof. Yood's teaching methods so much, she was my thesis mentor...I HIGHYLY recommend her!!

Yood is an excellent professor she is very passionate about literature and teaches it that way. However, her class is not easy and does require alot of work so if your looking for a challange def. pick her. Shes also very nice and brings in interesting material. She gets an A+ :p

She is strict as far as attendance, punctuality, and due dates. Otherwise, she is great! You learn a lot from her. The continuous revisions can be tedious at times but definitely helpful.
