Professor Bryan is absolutely inspirational, amazing, and helpful. He encourages students to write the Q out on the whiteboard, and he'd go through it step by step with you in his office hours. He will give you his best advice and strategy to any student in math 200, and definitely prepares students well for the final!

It's the first time I comment on this website, because this guy is really the best Math prof I have ever seen! Good at explaining, funny metaphors, very energetic and passionate towards his job. Never get tired in his lecture. Super approachable, nice and chill in office hours where he again, is able to explain everything crystal clear.

Jim Bryan is a great prof for this class. He gives great examples for each concept, and gives clear expectations for the class. I really appreciated his use of multicoloured chalk to make his diagrams so much clearer and easy to understand

To the point. Describes things very well. Clearly explains concepts. Took it in the summer so it was a bit fast but I got an A. You have to make an effort for this class. Prof can only help so much.

I had a question an hour before my final and he took time to explain it to me (and he didnt seem angry at all while doing so) just like he would in the class. Thats how much he cares about his students. Thankyou prof Bryan!

He clearly knows what he's talking about, but the message usually gets lost in translation - not great at explaining. Difficult to follow in lectures and likes doing abstract examples instead of easy ones for initial clarity. Seems like a nice guy, and does want the students to do well. Exams are just like the practice ones he posts on his website.

Go to class. First midterm will be easy, second midterm and final will involve some tough algebra. It's a pretty fair class, I would say, and it is probably as good as it will get for a math prof aside from the tough algebra.

I loved this guy. He was funny. I came to the lectures just to see him. On the last day, we had pizza. The difficulty was moderate, and you actually have to do some studying. I bombed the second midterm but still got a B in the class. I recommend him.
