Absolutely awful. Lectures make no sense and off-topic all the time. The book does a better job of teaching you. You take online quizzes on the reading but he won't tell you when they close. That's a majority of your grade. Do not take him. You would be signing up for a headache. And you are expected to track your own grades.

Really awful teacher. His lectures are awful and he goes off on long irrelevant tangents. He passes out so many worksheets that are hard to read and have almost nothing to do with what is in the textbook. I don't remember too many in-class tests luckily but I learned literally NOTHING from him. Better off not taking him.

First and foremost, Jim cannot teach. His lectures are repetitive, and by repetitive I mean every lecture is exactly the same. He tells you that you don't need to take notes, and quite frankly, you wouldn't want to. He hands out numerous worksheets in class that are next to impossible to decipher, making this class attendance mandatory. Skip.

Professor Clifford is a real gem. He gives good feedbacks to his students and not a hard grader. There are lot of extra credits for doing online quizzes. His lectures are interesting.

Take this class if you like to learn about the theory of knowledge, and like studying out of the book on your own about psychology. Lots of papers for notes and videos. The book has chapter quizzes and over 50 reading questions about the chapter (30+ pgs each ch). It's like learning two different subjects in one through lecture and online.

Professor Clifford is very funny and makes class not boring. Im the type of person who gets distracted easily so thats important to me. The homework was passed off the textbook online to read, but theres a lot of time in between each due date to do it, its 4 quizess due each time. He offers extra credit. He can be very repetitive but I didn't mind

I love this professor! His lectures are a little hard to follow at first and it can be a little intimidating but he gives you printed notes, after a while everything he says really makes sense! He gives you the deadlines for all the HW the first day so you can do the HW at your own pace. He is a great teacher & would definitely take him again!!!!!!

He's a really qualified guy. He's a phd and looks over other phd dissertations. It's an easy class, but if you ask him questions, he'll have a lot of great insight.

This class was fantastic. He doesn't lecture out of the book - he expects you to read the book and take the online quizzes yourself (it is an intro class, after all. It doesn't go into a ton of detail). His lectures are very different - more of a philosophy of science class. Got me really excited to pursue a PhD.

Everything is online except the class lectures. I didn't take an online class though. The worksheets in class are easy and for extra credit. There are 80 questions that you have to get right to pass the reading(the software tells you which page). You can check your answer for each quiz question until one gets it right. Teacher is informative.

WONDERFUL prof. He believes books are the foundation to knowledge and he is right. There's more to a subject than just reading the book, and that is what you get in his class. He doesn't believe in testing students, because 'if you ask a fish to climb a tree, it'll think it's stupid the rest of it's life'. Go to his lectures, you won't regret it.

Prof Clifford's a funny guy but as the quarter went along, his class just became more of a burden (sorry prof) I loved the discussions we had in class but the bulk of your grade is based on reading the text and taking online quizzes which makes it very tempting to just skip. But dont do that b/c he occasionally collects stuff for grades as well.

He is a great guy - very funny and intelligent. However, this man would make a better scientist or philosopher than a teacher. As interesting as his lectures can be, he is hard to understand and he is very vague. You will struggle to understand what to do and there will be A LOT of studying/reading involved.

Has a different way of teaching. Open-book tests, no finals. But as i've mentioned, he teaches differently and gives out worksheets to complete. Unless you're willing to attend all his lectures, read through things, connect the dots on your own, then take this class.

Honestly, the class inculcated in me a deep admiration of philosophy- it's psychology but it's taught from a philosophical perspective. His notes look like crap- a bunch of dictionary meanings thrown on paper at first, but give it time. Open your mind- Connect denotations and random definitions to ideas and meaning. Do the quizzes and extra credit

This man should have been a philosopher. You can follow along while he is lecturing but wow is it a brain game. All the homework is online along with five in class tests and a video report. It is not a run of the mill psych class, you get all the info from the book and then go over some of it in class.

Professor Clifford is awesome. He is realistic and highly intelligent. He really knows his stuff. If anyone has things to complain about its because they aren't trying. The class is very do able as long as you are not a fool. Will be taking his classes again.

Totally Crash! Ask and you shall receive the answers to your questions. Always has the habit of asking, "Did you get that?" If not, do ask. Very friendly, funny, and realistic. Do the online reading and assignments; serves as a rather large grade cushion. Very inspirational. Indeed an outstanding character. Coming to class is very helpful.
