Mr. Fincher does not treat everyone the same. For example, you and your classmates could do the same things wrong and he would take -20 for you and -10 for the other classmate. I would not recommend taking his public speaking class. He is a very tough grader when it comes to the speeches. On all of your speeches you better be on your toes.

When taking this online public speaking course, I found this professor to be very inconsistent with his grading. He would take off something for one student, but not for another. He is very biased and shows a lot of favoritism in my opinion. This professor is not very fair at all. I would recommend finding another public speaking professor.

If you get nervous when speaking infron of people I would suggest another prof. Mr. Fincher stares coldly, taps his pen, shows no interest while students speak, and dosen't seem to understand nervousness at all. He made me extremely uncomfortable.

Yes, he can be a real stickler! BUT he is a good teacher. He will help write your speech if you go to him after class!! Attendance is a must! You get a grade for it! It's easy to get an "A", just listen to him. You will learn in his class.
