Stanton's online classes are the way to go. I took this class before taking ACCT201 and it proved to be very helpful. Stanton is very helpful, as long as you ask for it in his discussion boards. Accounting is naturally difficult and taking this into account, it is a lot on the students to succeed. I was taking this as a summer class and did well.

I took his class a year ago, but did not know about this rating site. When students say he is boring, rigid, and hard, believe them. He allows a "cheat" sheet for his test, but it doesn't help because his test questions are tricky. I was planning to be a BUS major before his class, but when I realized how bad and boring it could be, I changed.

Always makes sure students understand before moving on. Makes learning easy. Tests are challenging. Willing to answer questions. Shares real world experience. Great class, I would recommend it to anyone. Great idea to take it before 201. It helped me a lot. Wish I could have taken him for Bus 201 as well, but had to take it from someone else.

Took this class over summer plus another 4-unit course. It was hard only because I had no time to absorb the info. He's nice but is stuck in his ways. As it says on his syllabus: "Effort is not rewarded, results are."

Mr. Stanton was quite clear and I learned exactly what I needed to about accounting. He shows you the ropes in a easy-to-understand way and always makes sure everyone understands before he moves on. Don't be afraid to take his class, and ask questions if you have them.

This instuctor has to be one of the WORST teacher I have ever had. Class is not difficult, but he always look down on students. His joke absolute sucks. AVOID!

I really like Mr. Stanton. I think the reason he could be considered hard is because he is an actual accountant who has worked for quite a few prominent companies & knows what he's doing. All you need to do is listen, take notes & everything is fine.

He is the most boring teacher I've ever had. I like accounting a lot, but he really made me question if I want to be an accountant. He is rude and his jokes are dry (the class laughed sometimes out of sympathy) AVOID AVOID AVOID
